geez, having a north melbourne person in charge of football sure is working out well for north melbourne
  3. i wonder whether this says more about the quality of tasmanian kids emerging or the lack of quality coming out of victoria, in particular
  4. i presume it's got to do with the regularity of repitition - if the rest of the team knows what we're going to do then it's better to have that conformity of approach
  5. neil craig taught - same crowbot approach
  6. well, you know what they say about opinions... son shine / sunshine, rear end, etc. etc....
  7. what, you mean when he's not been injured he's been - by some margin - the best ruckman in the game and a captain of a side that's been in the top four pretty much the entire time, and a universally admired and respected part of aflm by internal, opposition, and media?
  8. nominative determinism posting
  9. i'll go... 6: paxman 5: west 4: mithen 3: mcnamara 2: hore 1: fitzsimon really good to see us have a dominant win and neither purcell nor hanks in the top six
  10. great result for us, now we just need crom to drop a game over the next 2 to come
  11. yep, during the offseason they are now easily identifiable as a superhero
  12. that holding the ball call can get in the bin
  13. paxy and birch will go down as legends of the mfc
  14. it really is appalling we're hitting the scoreboard and making it count now
  15. i'd personally want to see two years of forward dominance to justify that sort of $$s reckon it's well within his capability, injury allowing

curious why you think caulfield is out of the way @D Rev - generally assumed these days that it's very much inner city these days...certainly in comparison with cranbourne st. kilda it wouldn't suit at all - they're further out in moorabin - while hawks are spending a small fortune (mostly in govt grants) to move to dingley gimme caulfield over any of those options
  17. if paxman's kicking hadn't been so poor i would have given her the 2 ahead of mackin and hore it was so good to have paxy back
  18. it's clear we are the top three sides in the competition this season crows played us off the park for two quarters at our home ground - they'll be tough to beat in finals i think bears are a bit the same, and that's why the final home game of the season is so, so important i WANT that mclelland trophy
  19. 6: hanks 5: purcell 4: heath 3: gillard 2: b mackin 1: hore
  20. was lucky enough to be at the function in the pavilion; first time i've been to princes park since stewart loewe kicked a bag vs the tigs in 95 - it's a pretty nice ground! it would make so much sense as a boutique stadium for when some of the interstate sides tour and they want to pack out a ground rather than have 12k make docklands feel positively empty for north vs gc17 for women's footy, it seems to work really well - tonite was a perfect nite for footy, which helped to hold a fellow top 4 team to 1 point in the last three and a half quarters is an incredible performance, especially as they looked very good with overlap run in the first ten minutes of the game gillard is a wall

he's gonna get it free for the filth again, isn't he...
  22. vibes and gut feels are meaningless all that matters is reality, which is that he's contracted with mfc until the end of 2025
  23. of course his head was turned by the crom offer - he could buy the majority of wudinna for the contract $$s he was offered unfortunately, he, his manager, and the crom has ZERO bargaining power as he's under contract for another TWO seasons note that neither he, his manager, or the respective clubs ever confirmed that he was actively seeking a trade... until such a time as the player - or, more realistically, their manager - requests the trade it's all just fugazi
