Dees Potential Draft Play to Secure Pick #1
whatwhat say what replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
that we're keen on reid, as is every club in the competition, but most times pick #1 doesn't end up being the premium pick out of a draft it speculates that we could trade pick 16 (1067 points) and pick 27 (703 points) for a total of 1770 points to gc17 in exchange for pick 8 (1551) that would see us have - based upon current ladder positions - pick 8, pick 9 from freo, and our future first, plus our own second rounder (pick 35) to offer to move up to pick 1 alternatively we could just go to the draft and spread the talent honestly, it's as speculative an article as many of the postulations you'll see here - no quotes, no insight, no detail edit: i mean, they call blake howes an "athletic goal kicker" - the kid has literally been groomed to be a mid-sized rebounding defender ffs -
CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood VFL
whatwhat say what replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
how far off is munro? -
you draft for the future; you recruit for the now anyone you bring in from another club should be part of yr best 23 i'm not sure any of the above - with the exception of naughton and ugle-hagan - would be part of our best 23...gardner, maybe, or antivax jones to allow petty to go forward while darcy would obviously be a fantastic 'future' addition but, of those five, there's no way that footscray would trade any of them

2023 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
whatwhat say what replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
interestingly, if gc17 make finals this year they can only take two academy players if they're nominated inside the top 40 some thought that they preference read over rogers if that eventuates -
white and munro are must-haves at casey buntine too probably

as someone who was at port when troy was, i'd be interested to know... did he always see himself going into coaching? how does he look back on his time with choc then compared to now, and what effect the relationships he had with coaches at both the pear and the tigs has had with the way he has approached his own career move into coaching? given he knew blair hartley at both the tigs and the pear, and geoff parker at the latter, how as a line coach does he go interacting with jason taylor and our recruiters and what they say about his future charges - like mcvee, turner/s, adams, etc. - coming thru? does he see himself changing 'lines' in order to get greater experience from a coaching perspective? tell him weaves says g'day!

yeah, mine always want the gami chicken these days

i describe myself as a 'low yield' attendee it comes from a long desire not to put any $$s into ian collins' pockets
-
yep let's get the brothers together
-
one of the reasons fcfc struggled to get any ball movement going on friday night was because of the defensive work that he did i know he doesn't get it much, but boy does his defensive efforts count for a lot
-
apparently he's not a fan of that nickname but i like it

daniel hoyne and the champion data vision team, take a bow -
has a turn of speed that helps with 1:1 defending, positions himself cleverly in the contest, is a smart decision maker, and a good user there is heaps to like

the erosion of the middle class has happened everywhere in the world over the last 30 or so years oztraya is just catching up the egalitarianism that you indicate is a false narrative, and the reason why games in excess of a certain expected crowd size are fully ticketed is to a) profit b) control crowds c) manage expectations of attendance the rich get richer; the poor get the picture

yep my margin of confidence is based upon watching big fish salmon when he was at the peptides kicking them to victory from what i thought was a match-winning lead the horror, the horror

i'll be in afl members, as i have for the last 12 or so years of moving back to melbourne i know it happens - i've seen the videos - but i've never seen an issue of violence or abuse; for the most part the bonhomie amongst various supporters is the best thing about attending sport in this country i can't wait for monday should be a crackerjack contest i definitely do NOT want a one point win with spargo goaling from a free kick after the final siren; my mfcss sees me generally having kittens if our lead is less than 42 points at 3/4 time

my favourite comeback to 'gone skiing' during the football season is 'ugh...as if we ski LOCAL! japan or aspen only, daaaaaaaaaarling' being fickle elitist rich snobs is one of the best stereotypes in sport

there is no 'going home from work then to the footy' on a friday these days for the majority of people based upon what i see and my experience, the work: life balance adjusted by covid, particularly in victoria, sees most office workers wfh on a friday
-
i've seen that one, but the one most people tend to use is 'the dreamons'

it's why i'm taking nothing for granted born in 79, started following footy in the mid-80s, and if we make finals this year it'll be only the second time in my lifetime we've made post-season in three consecutive years since 87-91 under northey last year was the first time since 59-60 we've finished top two in consecutive seasons loving the journey - just want us to frank it with some glorious premierships

made of tissue paper? their core - bont, english, naughton, daniel, liberatore, macrae, dale, smith, juh, novax jones - is very strong but their depth falls away the way bevo has turned lobb into a wingman is an interesting change of role
