  1. already debuted in the afl, younger than his dad did brownlow looms, surely
  2. a fit tom mcdonald makes a huge difference to our side - he's a bit of a barometer in that when he's playing well (2018, 2021, first ten games in 2022) the whole side is performing i unfortunately don't have much confidence in him getting thru a full season at his age hope i'm wrong

still only one oval to accommodate four playing squads do they have another training campus?
  4. that acl seems to have robbed him of a lot of mobility - he's not quite at chris lamb level turning circles, but he's unfortunately not that far off it the amount of instruction he needs to be given from lever and may also tends to indicate that he might be a fantastic athlete but he's not a 'smart' footballer, and our entire gameplan is built around our backline and them making good decisions with and without the ball
  5. needs to become a genuine midfielder at afl level, much as he plays at casey, where he wins a heap of football and uses it well, because as an anb-alike player he doesn't seem to run hard enough nor put on enough defensive pressure
  6. methinks you forgot someone...

As the MELBOURNE Football Club I’d be very happy for us to have a training / administration base at Caulfield, with a satellite base at Casey, and afl games played at the MCG, aflw at princes park and Casey, and vfl and vflw at Casey Representation all over the city!
  8. a tall forward who marks the ball at the highest point of his leap and averages more than a goal a game in his first season in a side that perennially makes finals? what's not to like?!?? from what i saw he needs to add bulk to his body and repeat efforts to his football lots to like
  9. as someone who has worked in digital comms, product, and marketing for 20 years i find our actual content produced is routinely rote but sufficient given our obvious scarce resources and investment in it what i can't allow is the routine errors - players names spelled incorrectly, information shared being wrong, content being uploaded and then deleted due to it being riddled with errors, etc. etc. it's just the lack of attention to de(e)tail that really irritates me
  10. thought his second half against the swans was very good i think he'll come on in 2024 based on that alone
  11. ol mate needs to tidy up his kitchen before using it as a background
  12. get em both under choco's kicking tutelage asap congrats to the gawn fam
  13. what's interesting to me is that this crop of girls coming thru is the first lot that have seen aflw as a pathway for their sporting careers good luck to all!
  14. gil, dil, laura - melbourne uni law grads
  15. yes to turner, no to the other two laurie is a completely different player to milkshake; he simply doesn't play the same role jefferson needs a big pre-season to be pressing for a position in the senior side, but i see all of petty, jvr, sideshow bob, and possibly even fullarton and plugger mac - even tho the latter is training with the defensive group - ahead of him for a role as a tall in the forward line in 2024
  16. no, that's the umpires
  17. this just makes me think of that mad men elevator scene between don and ginsberg... opposition forums: i feel sorry for you demonland: i don't think about you at all

you'd be wrong i posted earlier in this thread i'm fairly certain, but a 2015 sun study said these were our top 10 supporter suburbs: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/interactive-footy-fan-map-afl-clubs-membership-heartlands/news-story/4ceb4875ecacd1b3b04eade7b2dc620b Glen Iris Brighton Hawthorn Toorak Caulfield East Camberwell Richmond Malvern Kew Black Rock (list source via reddit cos the sun's map is borked) it may have shifted slightly since 2015, but as a stonnington resident, the whole of glen iris, malvern, toorak was decked out in dees colours in 2021 it was glorious
  24. filth and puddy tatts were suitors this trade period; i imagine they'll be chasing him again
