  5. gil, dil, laura - melbourne uni law grads
  6. yes to turner, no to the other two laurie is a completely different player to milkshake; he simply doesn't play the same role jefferson needs a big pre-season to be pressing for a position in the senior side, but i see all of petty, jvr, sideshow bob, and possibly even fullarton and plugger mac - even tho the latter is training with the defensive group - ahead of him for a role as a tall in the forward line in 2024
  7. no, that's the umpires

you'd be wrong i posted earlier in this thread i'm fairly certain, but a 2015 sun study said these were our top 10 supporter suburbs: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/interactive-footy-fan-map-afl-clubs-membership-heartlands/news-story/4ceb4875ecacd1b3b04eade7b2dc620b Glen Iris Brighton Hawthorn Toorak Caulfield East Camberwell Richmond Malvern Kew Black Rock (list source via reddit cos the sun's map is borked) it may have shifted slightly since 2015, but as a stonnington resident, the whole of glen iris, malvern, toorak was decked out in dees colours in 2021 it was glorious
  15. filth and puddy tatts were suitors this trade period; i imagine they'll be chasing him again
  16. recovering from an acl is seemingly not as difficult as it used to be terrible luck for the kid

Which part of by 2028 in the news report did you ignore? Such a Hanrahan

    latest on it: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/demons-secure-backing-from-caulfield-racecourse-trust-to-press-on-with-new-hq-talks/news-story/3b9d73d7e71ac4f77de8c4f22821aea4
  19. you're severely underrating what van rooyen offers and overstating the value of others by comparison king brothers routinely under deliver as the #1 forward targets for their respective clubs, juh plays effectively as the 'third' tall and seems to be a bit of a specialist at docklands, thilthorpe and lord are hot and cold, while cadman probably shouldn't have played at all in 2023 i'd take jvr over all of those mentioned with exception of jye amiss and possibly logan mcdonald
  20. jvr's leap and ability to read the flight of the ball is a distinct advantage as a secondary ruck

i believe they have? the sun, coming up 10 years ago, did this 'football heartland' thing: https://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/interactive-footy-fan-map-afl-clubs-membership-heartlands/news-story/4ceb4875ecacd1b3b04eade7b2dc620b the graph no longer works but reddit indicates it's pretty much as expected: Glen Iris Brighton Hawthorn Toorak Caulfield East Camberwell Richmond Malvern Kew Black Rock the caulfield racecourse area works for me as, as a glen iris resident (yeah!! top of the table...now win a final), it's about a 7-10 min drive away, depending on lights
  22. i'll disagree a bit here - i think it was as much about gawn not being able to be a #1 forward target grundy was only ever a ruckman, not a forward target, at the end of the day i do wonder how it would've worked if the skipper hadn't been injured early on vs the bears in rd 2 - the grawndy combo looked okay in pre-season and r1, and then they never really got a decent crack at it outside of that gawn is the game's generational ruckman; to have him deployed forward for over half the game is to waste a unique playing talent
  23. jackson was outstanding once darcy was injured and out of his way
  24. surely just a matter of time til they pull out of hosting, right? insane waste of money
