  1. amazing how fast puddy tatts have dropped off since the 2022 premiership selwood and a fit hawkins held em together
  2. i keep thinking puddy tatts are playing gw$ in their charcoal and orange top orange numbers tsunami
  3. danger can barely move at this stage be interesting to see if he warms up in the back half of the game / season, or whether the strings are goneski
  4. peptides i reckon they've got the $$ to spend and the need for a small forward
  5. yeah, and they've won one game
  6. It’s definitely a factor Our 23 profile for tomorrow is much closer to north’s than expected
  7. absolutely we're still competing for a flag; we might be having a down season, but as long as the core three 30+ year olds - gawn, may, viney - are there, absolutely we should be fighting to win it we have 15 other 28+ers on our list: melksham, plugger mac, sideshow bob, tomlinson, hunter, mcadam, salem, billings, lever, petracca, brayshaw, anb, langdon, js29, hore of those, two effectively 'retired' before the 2024 season, six are integral parts of best 23 as it goes, and at least three - milkshake, bob, tomlinson - would be expected to be off our list in 2025 either thru retirement or going to another side so you want to throw the baby - gawn, may, viney - out with the bathwater? i don't know what yr advocating for here; the only 28+ers who are 'depth' on our list going forward would be hunter, mcadam, billings, hore, and at least two of those are ooc at the end of 2024 and no guarantee to be on the list you have got to have depth on yr list in order to continue to get better and ALLOW the kids to develop without pressure to perform after all, how did stripmining our senior depth go for us last time? pretty miserably from memory, and those equivalent three - white, yze, junior mac - were nowhere near as good as our current core senior citizens
  8. Denver and Milwaukee are failures then I guess - winning their first championships and otherwise not making conference finals over a six year period when they have two of the most dominant players in the game Denver lost Murray pre title year to injury and then this year just couldn’t get it done cos of incredible match up - Minnesota were literally put together to beat them Milwaukee lost Giannis this year and last I guess we see disappointment vs failure differently There’s so much luck involved in ultimate success at the highest level
  9. or, alternatively, gawn is as professional and even better than goldstein and still playing when he's 37 yr a long time retired, and there's no reason to think he can't keep going for a long time yet
  10. That’s 8 players with under 50 games experience, and Bowey at 53, with 10 aged under 23 at the start of this month playing for us Pretty young and inexperienced
  11. i'mma guess at... IN: Tomlinson, Tholstrup, Pup Brown, Ben Brown OUT: Petracca, Billings, Laurie, Turner
  12. IMO not being able to qualify for finals is the failure We didn’t capitalise on our opportunities There were a variety of factors at play as to why, but ultimately it was a disappointing result…not a failure
  13. Who are nowhere near as good as Stengle
  14. some people's 'under performing' is different to the others having made top four before the finals in the last three completed seasons for the first time since the 1960s and claimed a premiership in that time, i think we've been better than we've been in the last 60 years 2019 was a massive failure and 2020 was a disappointment 2018 was a success imo; 2017 was a fail
  15. Windsor in for Sparrow for me
  16. fantastic to see pup get his chance will bring defensive pressure in the f50 which we've been severely lacking with anb and pickett rolling thru the middle interested to see who else comes in for the game
  17. welcome aboard @MaccaR, great post
  18. so one best 23 player for another? sounds like a line ball call...
  19. this 'replaced them with nothing' is a fallacy grundy - cost us a 2nd rounder BUT we received two 2nd rounders for him; most importantly all $$s off our books jj - free agent who walked out on us, received end of second round compensation (about what he'd have been worth in a trade imo) harmes - we got a 2024 third round pick for him, but billings (who cost us a 2024 3rd round pick) effectively replaced him as a fringe best 25 player dog - jefferson + winsdsor + jed adams (effectively)
  20. that's melbourne at the docklands carpark numbers!
  21. have you watched them lately? pretty brutally physical at the top level! i see nothing wrong with moore's spoil fwiw
  22. sounds like picks under 40 are going to have no value ascribed to them
