  1. Seen Wheaters a few times, was having a beer in the Tridents a couple of weeks ago. Robbo was at QB wearing a stupid hat.
  2. I love Anthony Ingerson
  3. With men and women, does you think that men should marry only one woman? Does you believe in mahogany? - Ali G
  4. How anyone could think the Robbie Flower comment is serious is beyond me. I mean really?
  5. I am/was a Wonna fan, but I just can't see him making it in this team now. The year out came at a terrible time for him, he should've been cementing his spot, honing his skills/role. Instead he spent a year out, and another year struggling for form and fitness. Meanwhile we draft Tapscott, Petterd's value and game explodes, and the coaching staff's favourite - Bennell, has shown he's far more athletic and far quicker than Wonna. I had a hard time fitting Petterd into my future forward 6, and I'm a massive Petterd fan. It's easy to leave Wonna out. It's going to be hard for him now, and probably one of the hardest decisions the club will have to make in terms of player management in a long time. I'd love to see him fight back and prove me wrong, I just doubt it'll happen.
  6. Why is Sylvia an auto inclusion? I loved last years form more than anyone, however he certainly shouldn't live off it, and I wouldn't omit anyone for Sylvia's most recent form. Earn it.
  7. I voted extra time, just, couldn't care less if it stays the same. However I want a winner, feels like everybody loses with a draw, players are all gutted, supporters are mostly gutted - the silence when leaving the G was deafening. Extra 5 each way would be incredibly intense, some real heroes will be made, would be great to watch. But you'd have little chance of winning the following week - but draws don't happen that often.
  8. I have 2 completely serious suggestions. 1 - Raise each club membership by 10 dollars. So 10 bucks from each membership goes into a kitty. Let's say that comes to about 5 and a half mil. The captains and coaches from each club vote on the best and worst umpires after each game. At the end of the season, the best performing umpire gets 4 MILLION DOLLARS. 2nd best gets 1 mil, 3rd best gets 500k. Part 2 - Bring back public executions. I prefer the guillotine. The worst performing umpire gets beheaded the week after the grand final at the G. I know there aren't enough seats, but it's the best we can do. Maybe set up huge 3D screens outside the G and at bubble dome. Maybe catapult the head from the G into the bubble dome then into Rod Laver and so on... I cannot see a flaw in this system. Umpires will strive for excellence, which means better games. Even if the worst umpire is quite good, we'll still finally get to see one of them die. Frankly I'm surprised this isn't already common practice.
  9. Could match Jake Spencer for the first three metres, then hurt something trying to keep up.
  10. And almost as hard to spell as Wonaeamirri
  11. Gysullove is a good one. Because I'll Gysullove a myself when I see all 3 playing together.
  12. Rashad Evans
  13. Yes it is. To call the visits simply 'PR' is undervaluing the work Jimmy and the club are doing. I've met Jim and Schwabby, and two more sincere, and driven blokes you won't meet. They care about the club and the players and the community, and are doing a great job in developing all three. It's bad luck we're playing Geelong this week, Richmond or Adelaide at the G and we'd roll 'em with half a dehydrated team. The travel, the hard work, the community trips and the bonding will all be valuable experience to everyone who went, and continues to go.
  14. I remember when some greengrocer bloke had to help pay for us to stay in Sydney. Now we're splashing to stay in Geelong, times they are a changin' for the better.
  15. Yep. My case would be 'banana cake wheel barrow and avenue zinc squared test tube.' He'll either get off or 4 weeks, reckon he'll get off with that argument.
  16. Slow? Slow reactions in his first game back maybe. Didn't look too slow when he spoiled that certain mark in the first, went like a rocket. His long kicks are up there with Davey and Col. Nothing more to see here.
  17. I'm a big fan of Jetta, but he's not fast. Watch when he chases, never gives up, but never makes any inroads either. I'm aware they've been working on changing his technique, it'll be interesting to see if it makes any difference to his speed.
  18. Agree. We need to score goals and we need forward pressure, he does both and he knows the conditions. Even if it is charity, the kid has been through a year and a half of hell, what a way to boost morale. I just hope he gets through it uninjured.
  19. Pick 11! I mean.. pick 11... *chuckles and shakes head* The other news makes me just as happy. Hope there are enough droppings to give Wonna and Jetta a run this week.
  20. Was probably just trying to unlock the door but missed the target as usual. (I'm only joking of course, not suggesting he was going to hide in the back seat with a plastic bag or chloroform doused rag like a creep or anything like that)
  21. Huh? edit: Ohhh... nervermind.
