  1. Should do some headline predictions. If Jack has a blinder: WATTS THAT? Jack watts answers critics. If West Coast win: NAITANUI OMFG!!! etc...
  2. Now Michael Jackson is in the forward pocket and bigfoot is in the ruck. Stay tuned for more changes.
  3. Absolutely. I think he's been a better player for the first few games, the last couple of weeks, not so much. Bad habits die hard.
  4. Not really... However JB losing his feet in his first season happened far too often, he's keeping his feet better now. And how he kept his feet and kicked that goal I'll never know. Sensational.
  5. It's not just Gysberts either, there was some fair talent Carlton could have taken with that pick - Gysberts, Jetta, Talia, Griffiths, Tapscott, Bastinac, Colyer... Some of these probably aren't worth pick 11, but is Brock McLean? Not even close. Look how quickly Carlton moved the ball without him the other night. One of those kids in there learning that plan or on the end of it would be a huge asset. Some of Brocks biggest fans could see he was quickly going backwards, he's always injured and has an off-field DH reputation. Add to that Carlton already have players that can do what Brock does, because he's not really great at anything. I find this trade to be insane. What were they thinking?
  6. I just posted about it on 'Ology too... wtf is going on? Suspended for tackling, can't tackle Brownlow medallists smaller than you must have been the official reason. What a joke. Bartram has been tackling in a similar fashion all year and I love it.
  7. I've always thought that's what his drop punts looked like, like he was about to unload a torp... it's the high ball drop. But yeah, was kicking some mongrels the other night. His kicking has been better apart from that game.
  8. Scully another 30+ Sylvia kicking 7 A win 3 things I do not want to see Lynden Dunn Rain Dude, Where's My Car?
  9. A little bit off topic but how was Davey's pass off hbf to Green in the corridor in between about 3 Dogs? It was almost as if he was taking the [censored] on a night like that. Extraordinary skills.
  10. We better get those dancing hookers and fireworks. If there's 2 things I love, it's hookers and fireworks.
  11. They don't call me Mall Cop for nothin'. But I'm not bringing 'Ology problems over here.
  12. Ahhh, this is more like it. Gone (touch wood) are the days when we'd be whinging about last weeks pathetic performance - and pure fear of the up coming belting, the unfair fixture, or 4 page threads full of genuine concern about where our club will be in 5 years time, how much debt we're in and what the fools at the top are or aren't doing about it. Now it's about what we're gunna look like on Friday football while we fight the Bulldogs and cancer in front of millions. All things considered, I want us to win those battles and couldn't care less what we look like while doing it.
  13. JACK GRIMES (11 games*) 12 kicks, 8 handballs, 20 touches, 8 marks, 2 tackles. *His 2nd season, but it was effectively his first. If these 3 don't get the most pessimistic supporters excited, you may as well give it away. And we've still got Gysberts, Blease and Tapscott to come ...and just to keep the good stats rolling... JORDIE MCKENZIE (2010) 7 kicks, 11 handballs, 18 touches 4 marks, 8 tackles.
  14. I'm all for it too. We've seen what the rest can do. A complete waste of time and money if he doesn't get a chance, being similar to Ricky this will be his only chance.
  15. I'm as far from a Bartram fan as you can get. But he has been excellent, solid as a rock, little to no bad mistakes at all. Strong tackling and good overhead. Could be another player Bailey makes something out of.
  16. Out: Rivers, Martin, Petterd In: Jordie, Bail, Cheney We need run, we don't need 2 real ruckman (other teams need 5 ruckman and Chuck Norris to compete with Jamar). Cheney deserves a run, Riv deserves to be dropped. If Miller plays I'll spew and pretend i'm not going.
  17. Might need another week off with the quad. I like Bail, to get back in I'd drop Bennell, even though he has earnt a bit of respect back after cleaning his undergarments, Bail looks the more complete player ATM and knows where the goals are.
  18. No dilemma for me. He's no longer in our best back 6. Rivers gets a game if Ricky doesn't come up for mine. Play in the forward line and throw himself at everything in the air like Ricky does. Martin stays in for North's ruck rotations, Jamar is too important to burn him out, Dunn will be too busy making Harvey cry. No injuries = no change.
  19. You^ seem simple to me. How many concussions were there this round? ONE. 352 players running around and one bumped head, but let's change a 150 year old game because the media are talking about it. While we're at it let's stop hammies by putting all the players on rollerblades. Last weeks hot topic was dangerous tackles, how many neck injuries from dangerous tackles this week? Zero. I can't wait til tap work is outlawed when Naitanui dislocates a finger.
  20. I would think his height, versatility and general upside had something to do with it. And the word is he's a very smart footballer, those are the ones that usually improve all their skills. He'll be the type built for the modern game. I would have loved Lewis Jetta, but he's already what you see is what you get, he'll improve of course, but he's icing.
  21. It's true, the neck is the dangerous part, helmets in contact sports make you feel safer and use your head as a battering ram, helmets hard or soft aren't going to protect your neck. There's a saying in NFL "See what you hit"
  22. I'm a Jetta fan too, but don't see how he and Bate are in any way comparable or in competition. There's no need for Bate to 'warm up' at Casey (unless the coaching staff see he needs a message about defensive efforts). He's contributing to our scoreboard and is only just getting some fitness up. He's also the type that'll kick 5 out of the blue. He hasn't even been that bad. When was the last time you saw Miller or Newton repeatedly lead, take the mark, turn around and hit up a pass in a continuous motion? Never. Bate does it every week.
