I think the Hammill movie is about his life, he's not in it, someone's playing him. About being deaf and college wrestling champion and making it to the UFC. Did not go to Sydney, I wish. You know it's not legal in Melbourne? That's where they want it next time they come but need to get through legal tape. I believe Sotiropoulos is the UFC's spokesman down here trying to get the go ahead. They say the next one will most likely be in Sydney because of this BS, but will keep working on it. I think Machida will win too, by decision. But I'll go for Rampage. Jones and Bader will be sick. If he walks through Bader like he has everyone else you may as well start engraving his name now. Silva will never lose. I love KenFlo, class and elbows. Hope to see him hold a title if Sots doesn't. Lauzon is in awesome form, can't wait for that fight, George has his work cut out, both in great form. Edited for iPhone retardedness.

Most over / under rated Melbourne players
Deestroy All replied to The Jacks's topic in Melbourne Demons
Jamar being overrated is ridiculous. Wins in the ruck? Check. Uses his big body to advantage? Check. Takes contested marks? Check. Kicks goals when moved forward? Check. Those things alone are enough to qualify his worth. Not to mention how much better he has become in being involved in links of general play and ironing out stupid mistakes he used to make. The guy dominated most other ruckmen for a year and a half. He has arrived and is worth his weight in gold. Underrated. Moloney. Overrated. Bennell. -

1. Jurrah. Entertainment. I'm always getting angry, or trying to analyse, or criticizing something... Yet when I watch Jurrah, feel the crowd get excited, it's just pure entertainment. He's the most fun you can have at the footy. 2. Frawley. Unlike most Melbourne players I've seen. Especially defenders. He can be beaten one time in a match, in the 4th with the game already over and he'll be filthy with himself. You can bet if there's time left he'll make amends and burst through a pack off half back with the ball. Speed, power, aggression and reliabilty. Attack and defense. Brilliant. 3. Sylvia. His best is the best. 4. Scully. Never been so certain someone will be a gun. Makes watching him so enjoyable. Couldn't care less about his mistakes, I time will come when he'll rarely make one. 5. Green. Should be an example to everyone that you can always improve different parts of your game. Was a time when I wasn't much of a fan but he has won me over big time, probably our most complete player. I also love how hard Jordie and Petterd go at it. Not sold on Trengove, I wonder about his pace, seems a little too slow to me. I'm a bigger fan of Martin.

What a title fight that was. Ever seen 2 blokes that big in such a fast frenzy? Incredible. I think Velasquez will be champion for a very long time. I reckon Dos Santos is a chance because he a class boxer with power, but if he fails I don't see much depth in the heavyweight division, certainly not at Cain's standard. Shaub looked very good, Gonzaga not so good. Shaub will fight Frank Mir next. Will be good. I think Lesnar v Carwin 2 could be on the cards sooner rather than later after this result. Sanchez snapped back to life, looked real good. So did Paulo in the first, then was overwhelmed. Great fight. Matt Hammill is pretty inspirational, will be interesting to see if the movie about him is any good. Tito blamed his surgery as usual. Of course you'll have neck problems carrying around a head that [censored] huge. Totally agree about Shields, boring as hell, he was lucky Kampmann's submission attempts were horrible. That title fight though was just something else. Brock was classy in defeat too I thought. Can't wait for Rampage v Machida and Rashad v Shogun. And give Chuck another party with Tito!

Use one of your maxi pads to clean up the mess.

It's got a tiny mullet, try to pay attention to detail.

8 replies, hardly anyone cares. I hope he turns his nose up at one year and leaves.

Yeah I love The Ultimate Fighter. Fat Country's season was a classic, the fights were rubbish, but Rashad (my favourite LHW) and Rampage put on a great show, some classic lines, Rampage is one hilarious dude. Credit to Big Country, he uses what he has to survive and usually wins, I'm a massive Junior Dos Santos fan too, to survive him punching you in the head for 3 rounds is insane. Surely he couldn't take that from Carwin. I'll tip Big Country by kimura. Been watching the latest Ultimate Fighter? Pretty good season, can't stand GSP as a fighter, bores me to tears. But the contrasting personalities and coaching styles he has with Koscheck is pretty entertaining, good fights too. I'll check back on this thread after I d/l 121. My mate no longer has foxtel so I can't watch the PPV, spewin!

Damn I missed this thread! Massive MMA fan, I would have said Lesnar to beat Carwin and Velasquez to be next on the throne. Will see what happens tommorrow, I'm pumped! I've been a Velasquez fan for a while and I'm one of the rare ones that likes Brock, so I'll be happy either way, will be huge if Cain takes it though! BJ turned to [censored] the day I put him in my avatar : ( I've corrected that so hopefully he chokes that [censored] Hughes to death. I'm also a Anderson Silva fan, the fight with Sonnen was incredible, I thought for a second Silva was human, that was silly. Epic fight that was. Aussie Grorge Sotiropoulos is killing it, one more win and he'll get a title shot, here's hoping. If all else fails, I just hope Tito gets his head caved in tommorrow

2010 Player Review - # 12 Colin Sylvia
Deestroy All replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Love that opener, I think it's about the first time in 12 years we kicked the first goal... JB's dash is so rugby player like, if he passes you, forget about it. I'd love him to start finding the ball. I recently watched the Swans, Bombers and 2nd tigers matches, and I have to mention how hard Sylvia goes at it. I don't think he always did, always tackled hard, but now he is just hard as fark. Consistency will make him the ultimate footballer. And to think I once was not a fan. I beg forgiveness. -
Primus sideshow at the Palais March 3rd. If that isn't enough, Melvins are supporting. This is going to be good.

If it is a new red then it's a tad late, we're New Balance now, those jumpers are still Reebok. Excellent photos! Thanks for the effort and for sharing. "Dean does DeNiro" is exactly what I was thinking, classic. -
Beat me to it. If you want an instant 8 goals, you pick the Wiz.

2010 Player Review - # 12 Colin Sylvia
Deestroy All replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
9 disposals the length of the field in 19 seconds. That play was a thing of beauty. I wondered wtf we were trying to do back when Bailey started and we were getting flogged, "over using" the ball. Well that play and quite a few others are the result of those hard times. At the ground I thought Bruce's kick was a bad while it was in the air, Sylvia's speed to get on the end of it was jaw dropping, doesn't look as fast on tv. But still impressive! -
It is brilliant. Season 2 has kicked it up a notch too. But back to the great Allen f----n Jakovich...

The Liam Jurrah Appreciation Thread
Deestroy All replied to Green Machine's topic in Melbourne Demons
I like it in the right situation. Against the Brennan types or any developing kids... He'd make Naitanui's 2nd efforts look like the embarrassing fumbles that they are. Would need a massive pre-season. -
That's my point, they're both better ruckmen than Hale. It's well known that Hale is a better forward than ruckman, I can't see Hale breaking up a 150 goal Buddy/Roughead combo up forward. Skipper is gone, Hale will need to back up Renouf. I think the Hawks have overpaid for someone that doesn't improve their needs, and Hale chose the wrong club, if he did have a say.
-
What a great thread. The HBO show Eastbound and Down could be remade down here, but use AJ as the main character.
-
Skipper and Kepler Bradley were separated at birth, no thanks. So Hale will definitely be mainly a ruck focus at Hawthorn, which is a surprise, as his ruckwork is one of the biggest knocks on him.

Kicked a running goal, safe to say, he has peaked.
