  1. Remember that sealer so well! Gee what a game Brock played that night.
  2. Well played NRL. Could have owned Saturday with no footy in Melb.
  3. Definitely this!
  4. Btw if anyone knows how to embed a tweet properly I’m all ears.

  6. Laugh Thread video of the week!
  7. I really think he fueled the fire with his smugness last week. He has the typical “everyone’s entitled to their opinion” line right before he throws in a backhander.
  8. Next person to say ‘close the thread’ does 25 push ups.
  9. Hopefully he brought his dad with him for support.
  10. Haha, it’s not going away Chris! Loves to throw that smug dig in there.
  11. This was one of the best videos I’ve seen for a long long time. To see a young man with that kind of emotion about the Dees, it’s really touched a lot of us. Thanks so much for sharing it!
  12. There is one thing I will say. If I were Mark Neeld, Don Mclardy or any other passing ships in the night that suddenly want to make comment at this point in the season, I would be instantly saying before saying ANYTHING else that what is happening right now is all about the current playing group, football department, administration and members and not about them.
  13. Great article. Important to remind ourselves where we’ve been. Two things that really stick out: - Why on earth did we give Schwab a 3 year contract in 2012? - I used to defend the Bailey/Neeld eras by pointing out all the terrible injuries and uncontrollables (Jurrah and Scully) but look at that first year of Roos and tell me he wasn’t dealt a crappy hand!
  14. Yeah totally with you guys on this comment from Don. There will be 4 players on Friday night that were drafted in that era. Might not sound bad, but if they really did such a good job ‘getting a team on the park’ I’d have expected about 8 or 9 guys lining up at least. Real talk: This current administration is responsible for the way our list is right now. PJ, Roos, Jason Taylor are the heroes here.
  15. This is crazy talk
  16. Its just the wrong time. Early next year would have been a bit better, there's no need to hear from this guy on the eve of the finals at all.
  17. From what I've seen he's quite lethal with his skills and had a blinder on Saturday. Not 100% sure if he'll get drafted, don't know how he would stand up to the rigours of AFL footy but could be looked at. Definitely think that C. Wagner and Lockhart have better chances of being drafted.
  18. I know this is a slightly long bow but if he's anything like he was on FC the day he got sacked then it will be a serious waste of time watching it. Master deflector of hard questions and stubborn as anything.
  19. I love seeing this. Everyone who sets foot in this club should at least be aware of our history and what has shaped us as a club.
  20. Our half forwards must push up when we get it and make options. Massive effort needed from Milkshakes, Hannan and ANB here. I never buy into the Ablett out of from thing. Very wary of his potential impact.
  21. No idea, I know about 3 umpires names. Can do without Nichols though.
  22. First of all the timing on this one is questionable but it was probably going to come up at some point. Its a very tricky situation as this particular era of the footy club should be remembered in some kind of form but not to dwell on. When Jimmy came in the intentions were very good and he rallied everyone like few others could. He was incredibly ill in those last few years and fought on when it may have been best to step away. Don Mclardy is a good man and from the outside seemed like a great right hand for Jimmy, he was a reluctant president. Schwab was a good appointment when it was made, finally we had a credible CEO at AFL level. Who would have thought he'd save his worst years for those last 3 with us? I don't know, I really don't have a definitive opinion on this. I do think the focus should be on the job that the Bartlett/Jackson/Roos era have done to get us back. The others should be noted as part of the journey but not in full focus, not for now at least.
  23. My thoughts exactly, I thought we were going back to the grand final for at least the next 3 years after that when finally after the monstrosity of 2003 I finally realised the moment had passed.
  24. Wow, very interesting. Not a chance i’ll watch this week.
  25. Seriously pumped
