Gee wiz Tex would seriously be going close to fall from grace bonehead of the year.
  2. I really need to hear a show sometime. I’ve heard snippets but haven’t heard how he handles callers.
  3. Noticed Garry Lyon has no votes, that’s fine and understandable. However I think media and obvious history aside he would be right in the mix. Sorry if this steps on toes but as a player the guy was everything that this club epitomises and one of the greatest skippers we ever had. Happy to take heat over this, go for it.
  4. Can’t wait for this new board.
  5. I do think the Coaches award is in the top two awards in terms of clout.
  6. I wanted to use the line ‘Blighty should bite it’ but I kind of agree with him.
  7. How on earth do you top this?
  8. Yeah Mooney was incredible that day. Oh that’s right I just remembered something else, being right behind Davey’s shot from the goalsquare that hit the post.
  9. Neita had bad luck with his jaw. Pretty sure he had it caved in by a Dockers player at the WACA in 97 as well.
  10. Just heard Barlow interviewed then on Maclure’s show. Always had a soft spot for the guy, such a great story and just had relentless work rate. Would love to see him get another go at Carlton or something but it looks unlikely.
  11. I haven't been as sad about a retirement for a long time.
  12. Excellent season from Oscar. Feel like he got a bit better and more confident each week. Crucial piece.
  13. What a dark day that was. Was there with my Cats supporting brother in Level 1 in the Olympic I think and can't really remember much of the game apart from White getting fly kicked by King and having to get up for people continuously walking past. When doing so after the umpteenth time I accidentally knocked the seat in front of me (wasn't a heck of a lot of space with those old red seats) and the guy in front of me told me off. Was a Dees fan too and the game was dead by then. Terrible day in the memory.
  14. Good list there. I'm gonna say Nibbler for 2018!
  15. Great acquisition for them. Could get their midfield up and running.
  16. Can't believe some of you still have games in your IQ from the start of the year! I can only ever seem to fit 3 or 4 at any one time.
  17. Pretty much nailed it unfortunately
  18. Surely the middle tier counts. Everyone has stars, everyone has youngsters but that middle group has to be what wins it.
  19. For what its worth I would be very happy if anyone in that list did it.
  20. I hate how we have to think about proposed rule changes when factoring recruits now.
  21. These things often don't go to script. The most obvious choice in my opinion would be Barassi. However I can see someone like Neita doing it. In 2005 when the Swans won I could have sworn Bob Skilton was going to do it but they went with Paul Kelly.
  22. Anything in particular?
  23. If he doesn’t mind being a backup then definitely.
  24. No
