  1. Well he's going to need to offer something more than a couple of possessions and a few tackles. 2 goals would be nice
  2. Totally with this. I'd like to see a bit more vigour and decisiveness around 50 and just go for home a bit more.
  3. We were in such a great position last time that phrase was used
  4. Totally not what Essendon needs.
  5. At least that way an intercept defender wouldn’t keep chopping us off in the air!
  6. Excellent post. Not once over this 12 year ‘renaissance’ have we had a side that could hurt the opposition by foot on a regular basis. In some ways I don’t feel we’ve had anything like this since the era of Yze, Green, Bruce, Johnstone et al.
  7. While I agree with this I do think it is extremely difficult to find these types of players. If you have 1 you're doing pretty well. I think Viney can be this guy if healthy. But as important as it is to have this talisman that can turn the tide we need to make sure that across the board we have guys who can step up that 5% in clutch moments of a game.
  8. I'm not really sure what he'd mean by different treatment. Pedo usually gets the bullet almost as soon as he comes in and Tim Smith has played the same amount of games as Weed.
  9. Probably in the same boat. I haven’t been sold on Goodwin as a match day coach. This does not mean I don’t like him or that I think we are better off without him, it purely means that I’m yet to go into matches with full faith that he’s going to make the right moves to get us over the line. I think he’s got great potential and clearly is still learning himself but surely its ok for us fans to be asking questions. Starting an extra behind the ball at centre bounces is one I’ve never been able to get my head around, we win that centre clearance into our 50 and it ping pongs out due to being outnumbered quite often. The only thing I can think of is are we trying to create a wall through the middle for when the ball comes back? Honestly got no clue on this one. The jury is still out.

Yeah I’d say so. The Cowboys really did get the best of him, the guy can’t seem to get any separation anymore.
  11. Gee whiz, certainly puts things in perspective. I honestly don’t know how the people who have to trek to the G do it!

I say yes just before the last pre season game. Was thinking Steelers early but the Browns do loom as the obvious destination for cash money. Im also certain he’ll continue to shoot his mouth off about the ‘boys for weeks to come.

Quick poll: Will Des Bryant be on a new team before the start of the season?
  14. For sure, always used to love watching the All Blacks play. One of my favourite teams in world sport really. Definitely up for NFL tips but willing to give anything a go as well
  15. You don’t know that you’re not a doctor! ? Nah it is pretty frustrating. We have the right to at least ask the questions.
  16. I agree with you on that. Yeah they probably do I guess. Grandpa and his brother were at Glenferrie quite a bit back in the day. I chose my destiny. But that’s ok.

Gee no talk about that whatsoever! Remember when being an Aussie punter was a big deal! ?
  18. Been a while since I was really into Union but people seem to be talking up the Wallabies this year. Are we a chance or is this just fluff?
  19. My dad is a Collingwood fan and Mum’s side is Hawthorn so I’ve reaped nothing
  20. Yep 100%. It makes missing finals even more unbearable knowing Collingwood is there.
