  1. Thank you thank you thank you I could not agree more it's been an absolute joke this year. That injury and the play going on infuriates me every time it happens. And that GWS kick in that ended up out of bounds and they didn't seem to have any vision of it? What was the deal with that? My dad was asking what happened and it's hard enough explaining in a normal game let alone when one is as tense as that one.
  2. Honestly I couldn't give a rip either way. Would prefer it when things are up and running again but that's not going to happen so not going to waste energy of moaning about it or whatever. Reading these comments and hearing what everyone is saying it was always going to be the case where opinions were split. Some people lost their jobs and are sick of being at home so it's not a break for them, some people are lucky to still be in their jobs and some people I know have been absolute flat chat and are probably looking forward to a long weekend, some people are working in essential services and are holding everything together and to say they deserve this is an understatement( if nothing else I say just do it for these people). Some people might just want to mentally shut off from their job, everyone has a different situation and plenty of different reasons. For myself, I am still working with my hours cut and at home, we've had massive drop off in productivity and all round motivation is down. I don't see much benefit to having a day off personally, if I have a day off work or a long weekend I'm not all that interested in spending it at home. I'd prefer to be getting outside or going away somewhere, that's what I feel I need right now. But that's just my situation and I would be more than happy for the people craving it to get it.
  3. The frustrating thing is even if we just won a couple or even just one of the games we should have things would be so different! The smaller details matter and it's something this club never seems to grasp.
  4. NFL

Wow nice way to wreck a morning! Got sliced by Deandre Hopkins all morning and when Kittle got hurt did nothing after. My expectations are tempered this year though, I think it's going to be real tough to win the division and can even see us finishing 4th with a winning record.
  5. Just beat the bombers and walk off with Mankind's (Mick Foley) music going off as we walk into the sunset.

How cool would this be - Trick play where the kick in guy plays on out to the left but there's a runner coming by in the opposite direction who takes a quick handball and transfers play out to the other flank, then another one straight back the other way like a HB sweep then reverse! Oops forgot where I was!
  7. I think the original idea of 1 year low money makes sense. If wants to test the market so be it.
  8. Pretty glad not to be running into Adelaide, although it probably doesn't matter who we play next week.
  9. Beautiful day. Life is ok for the moment!
  10. 3 hrs on and yes it does still feel just as good as it did when the siren went!
  11. We've got one game left for the season mate, what's the point? Win or lose wouldn't you prefer to back the guy in and get another game into him in prep for next year? I know I would.
  12. Will have to see that
  13. 6. May 5. Petracca 4. Langdon 3. Rivers 2. Oliver 1. Spargo
  14. A win is a win and if nothing else helps this group a lot in terms of next season. I'm very proud of the boys as I was after St Kilda because if you can prove you can grind out a win over quality opposition that has to count for something. A real enjoyable game, didn't think it was the most skillful and both teams really honked it up at times but there were some amazing goals and some serious ticker. Everyone put their body on the line and weren't afraid to go when they had to. Was happy with the way Baker was used and expect the same next week, Petracca - 19 contested possessions! A ripping goal too. Steven May - This might be the whisky talking but give him AA now! Spargo continues to keep pressure on and has always had a decent set shot. And then we get to a young man names Trent Rivers. Make no mistake, this kid was a huge reason why we won tonight. Hits targets for fun by foot and two clutch goals, but maybe the thing I loved most of all was his desire to get to that contest and punch with about 18 seconds left. The guy very much looks the part. Langdon is without a doubt pickup of the year now. Nev's commitment in that contest late and taking one of the team really got us going I thought, he's been doing it his whole career and although he's in the twilight now you can really only remember things like this from him. Don't get me wrong there were some negatives from the game but after a whole week of talking negatives I don't even feel like it! Enjoy the win everyone, it can't hurt!
  15. He's one of the few forwards we have with actual 'football sense'. A few good tap on, that kick he managed to hoik back to the goal sqaure. Happy with his performance.
  16. Winners are grinners! Who cares about all else :)
  17. Suddenly it was a fun game to watch lol
  18. That helps with the confidence for next year
  19. Come on dees GRIND!
  20. YESSSSSSSSS I love you Rivers!
  21. Wow Spargo that was incredible
