  1. What a night people! Finally made it to the post match thread after a ‘bit’ of celebration. It was great to be back! Walking into the G and just seeing a big crowd, two Victorian clubs fans everywhere, this is what footy is all about and we have missed it for way too long! Haven’t seen that much red and blue for a very long time! The game - We came out breathing fire! That can not be overstated. We were ready for this contest and when Petracca nailed that kick to T-Mac and he goaled you could see how big it was! Coming from the clouds was Sam ‘Choofta’ Weideman who may have surprised the general public a little more than us who have seen his progress. In my opinion was in the top 2 on the ground. Clarry and Brayshaw - What you see is what you get. Many times we’ve seen promising young talents go to water in their first attempt at finals but these guys went about their business as usual. Mate thought Clarry was a little quiet but every time you think that look up and realise he had 30 disposals and 18 contested! Jack Viney - The talisman. Is there anyone with more heart and soul in this competition than Jack Viney right now? A touch off with match fitness but was imposing and had 11 tackles! Including a nice throwback to Rd 1 2015 in the centre square on Ablett! Seriously, G Ablett has to be scared of this guy and I wouldn’t blame him! And more seriously, who the hell doesn’t want Jack in their side! Max Gawn - What can you say? He’s been doing it all year! Some might have had their doubts going into a finals match but he took apart an inexperienced ruckman. Great game. Backline - Outstanding. Pressured Cats forwards all night and forced them wide at every opportunity. I expected Hawkins to get off the chain a couple of time but Frosty did the job! Jordan Lewis, this is what he was brought here for. Intercept marking king and back to his ‘3rd man in’ best at contests getting a fist on it and killing it. Christian Salem continued his great form, I’m so glad he’s arrived and is so important now. The rest - No passengers tonight. T-Mac clunked them, Nibbler worked his socks off as usual, AVB continues to surprise with his worth to the team. It’s hard to believe he’s only in his 5th game back after a very long lay off. Melksham, Hibberd ah I love them all! Not many bigger roars then after Jones kicked that one in the 4th! Everything from here on in is just gravy now. The season is a success. We get another game of finals experience to get into these guys now! Love this club like anything and wouldn’t trade it for the world. And I love you all as well ❤️ Drink it in man!
  2. Last night was a night for many firsts. Has anyone else ever busted the zipper on their jeans at the footy?
  3. WE WON A FINAL!!! I'll be back later. Going to go punish my liver!
  4. Wish I thought of that.

Oh from a respect level I absolutely admire them. Some of my favourite all time players were United and Ferguson is a great story, I recently read his book. Just like the Patriots, I do enjoy watching excellence. But as a scouse fan I have to hate them, it's my job!

Well I hate United as well so I don’t miss a chance to sink the boot in! They were just crying out for that one more quality signing. The kind of player that can help get a result when things aren’t going their way. Still a good side though.

Not long now! (Double pronged anticipation)

A slight exaggeration of course, but I’d much rather be a spurs fan than a devils fan right now. Still expect them to finish top 4.
  9. Honestly, I would like to see some form of action. If Hogan is staying, I'd like to see us extend his contract in the off season or at least very early next year. I'm really not keen on having a 2019 of distraction, rumours and innuendo every second week. I don't believe in this day and age you have the luxury to just let the player have as much time as they need and dally on things. I know he's a great guy, has been through a lot loyal but at the end of the day it's a business, and if we don't make business decisions we will lose out.

I just feel like Spurs were one class signing away from being genuine contenders. Kane, Eriksen and Alli are world class but you just feel they needed one more real x-factor to take them to the next level. Someone like Anthony Martial would give them a real edge but of course they are unlikely to spend. I still think they are in decent shape though. Much better than United!
  11. It’s been a while since Mick Molloy was funny, wouldn’t worry too much about it mate.
  12. Catching up on it now.

  16. Well played NRL. Could have owned Saturday with no footy in Melb.
  17. Next person to say ‘close the thread’ does 25 push ups.

FourFourTwo would be the pick of them. As far as I know Match is still going. It’s been so long since I bought a magazine of anything, pathetic I know.

Was meant to do this last year but am usually terrible with these things. Will make the effort this time! I’m going with Bengals, Steelers, Titans

Yeah for sure. Forest is another one I have a soft spot for. As for Aston Villa, I still can’t fathom the idea that they aren’t in the Premier League. Such a proud club. In the 90s I was a fan of British Soccer Week the magazine. I miss going to the newsagents.
  22. NFL

Absolutely. It just seemed like they were at a point where the would challenge for playoffs but as you said Gruden wants to put his stamp on things. I’m a big fan of Mack I really don’t think DEs like that come round often.

Huge deal for Mack he’s done well. How did the Raiders stuff this up? Was a franchise player and edge rushers make the difference.

Yeah sounds right, from what I hear had great controlled passing. Glenn Hoddle, amazing player. The most non typical English player you could get, if he was French he probably would have had 200 caps. One of my good friends is a massive Sheffield Wednesday fan so I’m used to hearing a lot of hatred towards Leeds haha. I don’t mind them though!
