  1. Still not in 😐
  2. This is a great question, will they do a hit out on Saturday at Gosch's like in 2018? Will be checking the finals hub regualarly!

Boy, not feeling the best this morning for obvious reasons but you have to hand it to Roy's United. Real sharp movement in the final 3rd and deserved their goals and the win. Varane instantly makes this team better, played a great game. As for Liverpool we just weren't on in the beginning and it cost us. That split second lapse in conentration and we paid for it. 2 points from the first 3 games is a major worry, think the first part of this season we'll be going backwards to go forwards a bit. Long way to go though, well I hope it is because it's only 3 games in and it would be nice to have SOMETHING to watch over summer haha.
  4. Thanks Mr Deever! When you pay your money for a membership at any footy club the one requirement you ask for is that you have a 22 that goes out there, gives everything they have and never gives in. You may not always have the talent on the park that you'd like but as long as you can see that these guys are trying you can't ask for much more. We have a very resilient side, there isn't a team that beat us this year that didn't walk off the ground feeling like it was a walk in the park. It is hard to beat MFC and this is exactly what we wanted all along on a consistent basis. Not a team that is all over the map playing romantic footy one minute and then not putting up a whimper the next. It is a battle hardened side that has had its share of setbacks and come through with flying colours. Everyone is marveling at Collingwood right now and the belief they have in one another and rightly so because it's very impressive, but more impressive is a team who has been in the gun week after week with a target firmly painted on their back and going through the great form, the challenges and then finishing on a real high in arguably their best performance of the season. It's not the sexy narrative but in my mind it is the more impressive one. Let's not forget also the Entrecote incident mid year, things like that can destroy football clubs and rip through like wildfire and make no mistake we could have fallen off a cliff after that. I think a lot of credit has to be given to those two and the list for riding the bumps and working through all of this. I know what happened on Friday night with Harrison was horrible but if there's any silver lining it was seeing so many of our players get stuck into Zorko on his behalf and they looked genuinely hurt, espcially Steven May. After what happened mid year it is moments like that which can bind the group back together once again in my view. It's what I've always wanted: A professional, focused, never say die football club. You can micro-analyse things like the manner of losses but big picture check out that win column. Want a program that gets results? This gets results.
  5. Agree, let it go or go away.
  6. It's a good question, always assumed they played each other twice as their season starts a bit before AFL's but that's probably wrong.
  7. That's exactly right. The endgame isn't just landing a senior coaching gig, it's about being comfortable in the knowledge that you'll be given the time you need to start getting the results. More often than not once you have your shot in the hot seat that's it. On the money Xecutioner, very much the xcellence of xectution!
  8. Playing everyone once would be nice but there is just too much money at stake. The same can be said for the finals system, all about the almighty dollar.
  9. Is Zorko the modern day Anthony Rock?
  10. Hinkers would be a good fit for them. Experienced and knows what it's like to come into a club with instability.
  11. Geez I'd love it if they even simply brought Hird in for an interview. It's real bottom of the barrel stuff that no hoper clubs do.
  12. Unnecessary.
  13. Tell me about it, talk about running on fumes..
  14. Maybe but still, it's a hard thing to walk out on!
  15. Only watch it if you're happy to fry a few brain cells.
  16. Yeah I see your point, Witts might be more the the more traditional body on body 'win the hitout' guy. Darcy very stiff, I would have thought Tim English would have made the squad as well.
  17. I wouldn't, Witts has been excellent this season.
  18. Fair call, it does depend on how strong a division is at a given time in NFL. I take it back slightly.
  19. There's no other major competition with a fixture as fundamentally flawed as this one. What do you expect?
  20. I'd be hoping he takes a look at Essendon and realises it's a tire fire off field and that there's likely going to be better opportunities in store for him with friendlier boards next time round. On the flip side I hope this knocks off the first 2 or 3 candidates and they end up with someone who never thought they were going to get a shot at senior coaching.
  21. In the words of HB Meyers from Mongrel Punt: "One of the best small forwards that plays tall the game has seen"
  22. Duck for cover, someone will have an issue with something there.
