The club does control is the design, looking at the apparel flyer they sent out with recent season review book, I wouldn't buy anything it looks poor. I cant understand why pur base colour for everything isn't red, it stands out get out of the navy as the primary colour. To me I want to look at our membership areas an see a sea of Red. I reckon the club would sell more red jumpers than white even if we didn't play in them. What ever happened to the second away strip we had, I think last season or the one before, we had a white one and a red one, I can't recall us wearing it.

It would be nice to hit 30,000 by end Dec, which looking at the uptake in December over the past 3 years we should get 5-7000 members sign up over the next 5 weeks.
-
Good move. When do players need to be moved off the Category B rookie list, Smith for example has had a year can we keep him on this or do we need to move him to either primary or rookie list?
-
I reckon we play Essendon away each year because of the jumper. There clash jumper still clashed with our home jumper
-
The first 6 weeks will define our season. We should be 5 and 1. Don't mind the draw the only real tuff patch is the Bulldogs, Eagles and Sydney mid year

Three live picks, I reckon we will use 2 promote Wagner. Look to State league competitions for a couple of developing ruckman to rookie and another kid. I reckon we just look for pure speed in the draft. Players that are quick that we can hopefully coach to be good footballers.
-
The big hole that we haven't filled is that forward second ruckman, I would love for Goodwin to have courage and send in Frost from defence when his player goes in(assuming he gets the oppositions forward Ruck option. Below is by best line ups Jetta Frost O McDonald Hibberd T McDonald Hunt Salem Jones Lewis Vince Watts Petracca Kent Hogan Garlett Gawn Viney Tyson Oliver Brayshaw Stretch Harmes

Depends what you get for him. Had an average year, can play but is one of those players that you can see on the fringe of our best 22.

There is a very small window to get the Lewis deal done. At the moment he is making a decision whilst extremely [censored] off, soon though his Hawthorn Team mates will clam him down and convince him to stay. We need him to come out today asking to be traded to Melbourne, I don't think we will get him if it goes beyond tomorrow.

I don't thing Salem has a lack of speed, he isn't lighting quick but I don't think he is slow. One of those blokes that moves so well with little effort, he would be great on the outside on a wing feeding the ball inside 50. Trade week for us will be picking up Hibberd, trying to offload Dawes for something early third round late second, giving Dunn away to improve draft position. I think we give away our second round pick and then trying to secure an early second round pick 20-25 by trading out these two with picks and hopefully also advancing second pick to somewhere is the 30-40 range. That is really all we will be able to do and if we can execute this it's a win. We don't really have any players of worth that we want to off load and our picks outside second round won't attracted any decent players. Might try to get an uncontracted free agent.

Who are the Dees chasing for 2017 and at what cost?

Really, some of the pick positioning and players gained have been a success. Oliver/Weiderman, Tyson/Salem on top of Brayshaw/Petracca, plus Vince, Cross and Frost, I think Roos and co have fished pretty well over the past three years. -
CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS - VFL FINALS WEEK 1

My understanding of the rule and not well educated on it, is if the AFL side is still playing all listed players are eligible -
CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS - VFL FINALS WEEK 1

Can the Bulldogs load up on players considering AFL have the bye? The good thing is they play next Thursday night, they might go the opposite and rest players that are borderline for senior selection -
MCC is a ballot and then a first in basis on GF day for limited spots
-
Better of with an AFL membership

Nathan Vardy is someone that we need to consider. Injury issues a side, we need to get someone who can stand in a forward pocket, take a mark and get into the ruck for 10mins a quarter, or worse still be there just in case something happens to Max. -
Rohan Connolly shames pathetic Dee's and Tiges

It isn't just the last two weeks, we got beaten by a VFL side in Round 2, add in St Kilda then to finish off Carlton and an absolute flogging to finish. Two of those games we should have never lost and we needed to beat St Kilda once. I have major concerns about player mindset and till this can be fixed we will continue to struggle. Unfortunate for our club this mental fragility goes back a long long way and maybe as a club we just can't shake it. -

Agree, our players are satisfied to easy. They sit back accept that 10 wins is enough for a pass mark for the season. We have no on field leadership when things don't go our way. This season reminds me the 2010 season games kids coming through a lot of potential, we all know what happened over the next 5 years I hope this group fixes their mental fragility over the upcoming pre-season -
Still struggle to see players that are match winners on our list. Guys that can change the course of a game of there own boot. We are building a team of workers but can't see the top line class.

You can't argue with Connolly, we had everything to play for over the past 2 weeks and just showed how mentally fragile we are. V Carlton we expected it would just happen amd V Geelong no body wanted to make it happen. Our players jump into exit interviews this week then get to disappear for 2 months where us supporters hang on every bit of trade and draft news that will hopefully see us finally over come this mentally soft tag we have had for many years -
Because you want him 100% fit the either start pre-season or to pass medicals when you trade him
-
Hawthorn will get him
-
I can see Boomer in a Geelong or Hawthorn Jumper next year. If your window is open next year you would consider him. The other three are done. I see North as a bottom 4 side next year

Jack Grimes and Jack Trengove would almost get us third round picks. Besides that I can't see what else we have to offer around maybe Chris Dawes but I think we need to keep him. -
We are only ahead if our young players continue to improve. We had a young team in 2010 and we had all the hype around us after knocking of Sydney. 2011 started OK but we entered another rebuild in 2012, followed by another in 2014. We need potential to become Actual, the next 2 years we can't go backwards
