  1. I think he slots into our best 22 and offers something, as I mentioned though I reckon as a Mobile CHF rather than wing someone that can work up and back to link up or defensive to forward something we really struggled with this year.
  2. and we aren't going to get a star on what we are offering him. We are trying to fill gaps with the available cap we have, Langdon, Elliot and this bloke if we can walk away from trade week adding these three and losing 1 draft pick to get it done it is a pretty successful week.
  3. The kid is 6 years away from being old enough to be drafted, a lot can happen and I'm sure these concessions will change, if they haven't means Gold Coast won't have an AFL team and will be the Tasmania devils
  4. I see him as a mobile CHF that will work up and back all day. We need a player that can be a link man from defense into attack and that's what I see this guy doing, hard to match up due to his size and will run all day. That allows McDonald and our second tall forward to play deeper. He basically becomes our 7th midfielder working from deep defence to deep forward. We play this way now a forward pushes into the midfield leaving us with a 5 man forward line ANB plays this role.
  5. You are calling me out for what saying Watts has skill but couldn't get enough to impact a game and that our Mids and Wines can get it but don't have the skill to keep it. Looking at that I'm sorry for pointing out the absolute obvious, I shouldn't post what everyone except you sees.
  6. Read the post again, I posted it isn't all about the contest anymore, meaning you need to be able to win the ball but more importantly keep the ball, suggest you have no idea our turnovers is the reason we finished 17th. Adding Wines just adds another player that is extremely limited by foot.
  7. On the trade market he is an early third round pick, he is worth more to us than a third round pick
  8. Isn't the reason that both NFL and Baseball didn't have a strong stance on doping in the past and the players stood up to being a part of WADA and the leagues have made these concessions. This boy will be missing for 2 years at least, just silly
  9. He is a rookie no issue with him keeping that spot for another year. His brother needs to be off the senior list though
  10. If North wants Frost, we would need to look at Mason Wood and pick 43 for Frost and 56
  11. Depends in the coin he wants and the coin we have to spend. We need to pay overs to get players like May and Lever into our club, you then add the players we are rumoured to be chasing this year, plus the guys we need to sign next year. The blokes you mention are really on spare change, you need players like that to keep under the salary cap. Frost would be looking for a chip up after the season he had, we might just not have the room to keep him.
  12. Depends what we get. Frost had a great season which gives him some currency. We have O Mcdonald and Petty, plus Hore, May and Lever. O Mcdonald is worth nothing in a trade, Petty the same, Frost we might get a second round pick. I reckon to club would listen to offers fro Frost and Brayshaw
  13. Pass, can't kick, more of the same of what we have. Watch the finals the teams that will progress are the ones that control the ball, it isn't all about winning the Football at the contest anymore it is more important to keep it once you have control. We cant do that so we need players that can, Wines isn't one of these players
  14. Nah, he would be good but that question mark about his kicking ability, we need players that can hit targets forward of centre. Don't get me wrong I thing he can come to our club and improve us but if he decides to go elsewhere so be it, going to the draft with pick 20-22 isn't a bad option
  15. Gawn, May, Lever, Oliver I will give you the rest are hit and miss, Jetta's body is letting him down, Petracca, Melksham, Brayshaw, Harmes play well on their terms, Salem shows glimpses, T Mac two good seasons one down back one up forward, that is all we have seen from him. If as you would expect Petrucelle improves he could very easy be amongst that list, he is the exact type of player that we need, even try to add in Brander from West Coast as well
  16. Also getting 32 back, the guy would walk into our starting 18 and be in our best 6-10 players in 2020
  17. Need to be a little bold and ruthless pick 2 to GWS for 11 and 13, might cost a bit more with later picks Pick 13&56 to WCE for Petruccelle and pick 32 , give eagles 2 first round picks for Kelly Brayshaw pick 20 and 32 to Fremantle for Langdon and pick 6 Leaving us 6, 11, 38 in the draft, hopefully Young or Ash will be there at pick 6. O Mac to go not worth much a pick in the 40s which will go to GWS. We can cover losing Brayshaw and we get that exciting outside speed that we need
  18. 52,000 members, up nearly 6000 mich would be 1.5mil additition revenue. I'm all for selling off the Pokie venues as long as we have a business plan to replace the revenue we generate from these venues. You take that out and it is a fair whack. Players wanting out lets start with O McDonald he will definitely want out he is behind May, Lever, Frost and Hore, add in Stretch and JKH blokes that think they deserved more opportunity, even Hunt, you will always have players that may be considered fringe best 22 looking to get out. Brayshaw is one that I don't know what went on with him in 2019. Was out on the wing a lot , last few games down back to get a touch and I rate him as our best center clearance player. No question the club has a massive 12 months facing them, we know Peter Jackson wasn't happy in the why the board appointed Pert, we haven't really seen our heard from Pert at all this season. The Footy manager was dead keen on the CEO role, that is going to cause friction. One thing is for sure we just can't get it wrong again.
  19. You will find this is more about the financial position of the club rather that a playing perspective.
  20. Is he better than what we have in Stretch, ANB, Kennedy Harris, Spargo and the others that sit on the fringe? With all players we bring up the first question needs to be will they make our best 22 and then will they make us a better team. The next question is what will it cost us and is that something we are willing to part with. No more depth players, we want players that will be in our best 22 or banging on the door to be in our best 22.
  21. I actually thought Chandler was Ok v Sydney, he is the only small forward this year that actually laid inside 50m tackles. The rest, Lockhart needs to be moved to back pocket, back up/replacement for Nev Jetta. Spargo, small and slow, if you are small you need to be quick and hard as nails, ANB isn't a forward you would hate being a forward with him kicking the ball to you.
  22. I thought Jones signed for 1 year a month back Out Senior List Lewis, Stretch, ANB, Garlett, J Wagner, Kennedy Harris Out Rookie: Tim Smith, Maynard, Keilty, Walker Look to trade O Mcdonald
  23. I reckon Jordan Lewis will be announced as a development coach or Mids coach after Saturday
  24. The bloke that was also a big part of our most successful period in 50 years
  25. Interesting couple of weeks coming up, we need to make space for at least 5 new players, Lewis is No 1, at least 4 to go looking at senior list Billy Stretch, Garlett, Josh Wagner, ANB and then we need to sign Frost and off load OMcDonald.
