  1. I reckon if we were trading Hogan, Cam Pederson would have been offered another year on his contract
  2. It's a shame that North's salary cap will be busting at the seems after they pay massive overs for Gaff/Polac/Hall this season
  3. Trading is simple, if your club will benefit from the trade you need to have a serious look at it. I'm not for trading Hogan, key forwards are pretty rare but if Fremantle are silly enough to offer two picks inside the top 10 for him and he is willing to go it needs to be considered if you have a May lined up with the deal and a spare first round pick that could be offered to GWS for a Whitfield/Kelly. Adding May and one of those two GWS players this deal would be done in a heartbeat
  4. It's going to be a long month
  5. No we don't need to nominate him. A club can select him in the draft and we have the option to select them. Example say a club picks him at pick 35, each pick has an allocated point value we need to give up our next pick and make up any left over points from other picks. We hope that no club picks him till after our second pick in the draft and he cost us a couple of late picks
  6. Spot on post, my understanding is we have to use our first round pick in the 2019 draft. So really we don't have a lot to play around with. North will want our second round pick which will be about 37 after priority and free agent compensation picks hopefully we can get it done with our early third round pick and change. I can't really see us improving our list through this years Draft and Trade period
  7. From memory Trident and Redleg members get priority access to Grand Final tickets as part of their membership, Don't know the number but at a guess 5-10,000 members would be in these two packages. So the balance would be allocated to GFG and any spare would be first in basis
  8. What community benefit can you have by spending more money on Punt Rd and Geelong. Hats off the Collingwood you drive past their facility and the general public are using it. Even the Goshes paddock the rugby/soccer and our oval people are always using it.
  9. You have Bradtke coming onto the list 205cm I reckon will get to the 208-210cm as our developing ruckman
  10. The basic fact is we don't have a second true Ruckman on our list capable of playing AFL, Casey showed that yesterday. We can't relay on Max to be fit for the entire 2019 season and need someone that can give him a rest.
  11. Agree, looks really good marks well, kicks it OK bit of Strength work and could see him early next season whilst we wait on Lever to return
  12. Pretty embarrassing on the posters or on the players. Jones looks totally lost playing on the wing and isn't in the best 4-5 mids to run through the middle. Lewis great with ball in hand but defensively is terrible. Leg speed and kicking skills. Must admit bit worried about 2019, I reckon it could be a bit like 1998 to 1999, we will go backwards to go forward. Richmond will get Lynch, Geelong Dalhouse and Rohen, North Polac, Gaff and the Hall, Collingwood will get May so the sides around us will get better by adding missing links, really we need to players North are getting
  13. We need to stop blaming umpires for players that are just average. Only two players maybe three have any future at our club
  14. We need players who can kick the football well. Time for Salem to step up and get into our midfield. Spargo, great first year we only get a lot better can't kick far but can hit targets. Jetta Frost Lever Hibberd Omac Hunt Salem Viney Harmes Petracca Tmac Melksham Weiderman Hogan Garlett Gawn Oliver Brayshaw Spargo, Fritsch, AVB, Kent To me that side based on current players gives some balance between grunt and speed
  15. Our mid field is all grunt no class, we need to add some class into our mids
  16. The instruction to Frost will be try a blow Kennedy up, first cover him deep one on one then run off him and make him chase you. If the ball gets to ground Frost has the potential to expose Kennedy
  17. The instruction to OMac and Frost will be lock down on Kennedy and Darling, Smith will play on third tall or Ryan and will be third man up. This game will be man on man, we weren't happy last week in the way we allowed Hawthorn the uncontested marks. We have their midfield covered, our forwards have shown all year they are dangerous and can score quickly, we are backing ourselves to go toe to toe with them to get the result.
  18. One thing Perth has is the best Sunday sessions in Australia. Must admit nothing better on Perth then heading down to Fremantle or Cottesloe on a Sunny spring afternoon finding a good beer garden and enjoying a couple of middy's in the sun.
  19. Good, if North want to pay him 1mil+ per season they are stupid he is a wing man that clubs don't tag and when they do he goes missing, he will improve your side but not to the point where he will have a massive effect on the result. Would rather save the coin and have a red hot crack at Kelly next season, this guy has super star midfielder written all over him
  20. Didn't we also sign a cricketer as a Cat B rookie
  21. Should buy tickets for Freo supporters to Barrack for Melbourne, they hate each other and Freo supporters would love to go and watch the Eagles lose.
  22. Yep, and they have no respect for us what so ever both on and off the field, smug players and supporters. We have been their bunny for 30 years
  23. Wouldn't mind him signing a contract. For such a young player to be playing as that key role, imagine him in 2-3 years times when he gets some real strength.
