Why wouldn't you pack up the family and move down to Barwon Heads, Torquay. Great life style, great for a young family. That is what it will come down for Jack, what is best call for his family.

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
The game evolved since we formulated our current plan. Teams that have the ability to control the football and tempo of the game are the good sides. We haven't recruited players for this, we are all about winning the ball at the contest and surge it forward, more like the Dogs game style when then won the flag. Clubs still us this through out games but also lock at keeping the footy once they have it, looking sideways, switching play, it isn't about the out number at the contest anymore they almost play a tradition 6/6/6 and are happy for sides to push a forward into the middle that creates an out number down back. We can't hit targets enough to play the style we want. We can't allow an out number in our forward line. Our back 6 are strong back them to win the contest, don't play a loose defender unless our opponent plays a 4-5 man forward line. If they do, we just sit back and attack of half back with over lap like teams do against us. Forward 6 play up to a line ahead of the example HFF/CHF push to HBF/CHB, full forward line push up to half forward don't get any higher unless to are presenting for the ball. We get beaten when we push our half forwards to the midfield contest and allow our opposition 1-2 spare players that just sit back and wait for long bomb/turnover kick. We work so hard to win the footy at the contest, when it turns over in our forward 50m we just can't defend the lose defender and the fast switch. If we can't keep to ball inside 50m for longer to allow our mids/defenders to set up the quick exit will always kill us. By pushing the out number to the contest it always looks congested and our players always gravitate to the ball and not hold for the the fast break, this is why we continue to have the 1m handballing, we don't have a player holding outside for the 2-5m handball release. The other big issue we don't have anyone running for a handball receive, that is either lack of confidence in the teams ability not to turn the ball over, defenders don't want to run off for their opponent to get the easy out the back from a turnover and also which was evident V fremantle we didn't dish it of, just simple no risk footy down the line. Starting point would be hold our forward 6, don't push HFF into the midfield, back mids and backs to win the footy and have players in place to try and keep the ball inside our forward 50m arc for longer periods. It the ball keeps pinging out of there at the current speed we have no chance to set defensive structure.

Our Best 22
This is pretty depressing to read, we dont really have any midfield depth at all and banking on a first year player to hold down chf and a bloke that has played a handful of games and can't get his body right as either key forward or back

Because sometimes the player does what is best for the player and the club does what is best for the club. In this case not sure if any truth behind this who would be driving this, but is strange he hasn't signed as yet. Does he want out for success and less pressure or does club want him out as we have other options, can't meet his $$$$ and should get end of first rounder for him.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
If this was a one off performance we cop that, outside a good run in 2018 this side has been extremely poor, our skills have gone backwards. We would right of 2020 if we had some sort of previous form to pin our hopes onto, we can't pin it on 2018 form as we have been so far away from this over the past 2 years.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
I loved seeing May, Lever and Rivers express their emotions they have they did, especially May and Rivers they both were extremely upset, these are players that are emotional great need to see more of that and invested in the performance for the club they play for. That was 3 players that knew what this outcome meant to the club, I wonder how many more felt the same way.

Who should our next coach be?
Yes and that was my second point, Goodwin doesn't seem to work well with his assistants, the good ones leave. Your head coach is the figure head, you need a team of good assistance around him. If a coach pushes them away it is a big issue.

The List: Where we are at
I think Weiderman could be a 40-50 goal a year forward if he played in a side that could kick. That lead and mark last night he can do that all night we just don't have the ability to move the ball fast enough and hit him up. The only thing which I hope he sorts out is above the head contested marking he still is getting good purchase on the ball and not hanging on. Work rate he has improved, like a lot of tall forwards not a big defensive side but that is for blokes under 6 foot. Jackson and Weiderman complement each other, Weiderman is a deep inside 50m type, Jackson is on your bike running high type. Playing Preuss/Tmac with Weiderman all three are deep forwards and get in each others way.

Oliver - From Butcher to Baker
Compare him to Fyfe or Mundy last night they just control the football, don't fumble, don't burst from a centre clearance and absolutely shank it, that seems to happen a bit to Oliver.

Who should our next coach be?
I agree we are stuck with Goodwin for at least another year, we need to get good assistance around him. Seems Goodwin doesn't work that well with assistant coached we had a good line up, in 2018 most of them have gone. Get Neitz as our forward coach, we need someone to take Weiderman and Jackson under their wing to teach them how to be a key forward.

Welcome to Demonland: Trent Rivers
Just hope the WCE don't come knocking they will be on the hunt to replace Hurn and Jetta, Rivers would slot nicely onto their half back line

The List: Where we are at
I think next year we will have Rivers and Jackson on this list. Don't forget we had a couple of years prior to last that we didn't have a first round pick. We just don't have any team structures, our mids don't play for each other. Still think we are a couple of mids and another tall forward away. Shows the level of skill in our side, a 7 game first year player Rivers was chartered with our point kick ins.

Oliver - From Butcher to Baker
He just trys to kick the ball to hard, last night was the worse display of kicking we have seen from him.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Fremantle
We brought in small forwards to be front and square but we never but the ball to a dangerous spot in our forward line. We allowed the Dockers to take 40 odd more uncontested marks in the rain in the first half. We went in with a massive defensive plan the same that we played against St Kilda, basically we pushed 18 players into our defensive half. Dockers held their back six across the middle and controlled the ball. Plain and simple this one is one the coaches, we went in with the wrong plan. We fumble, over possess the ball and didn't even look like changing direction. Kick down the line every single time. Lucky we don't play Adelaide again they would beat us now. A team with no direction or confidence.

NON MFC: Round 16
When is the AFL going to clamp down on the bulldog shuffle, they get tackled and they shuffle the ball to their favour, it is incorrect disposal, just because you are tackled doesn't mean you can just drop the ball to your teams advantage. They have done this since there gf year Richmond adopted it but not as bad

Could Lockhart and Bennell not getting games be a salary cap issue, rookies low base high match fee
