Getting caught doing Drugs has hurt.
  2. He came from Fremantle and WCE don't really have much to trade with
  3. Really, 900K a year for Williams is massive overs would have thought 550-650 tops. Is it front loaded or 900K each year for the contract.
  4. I reckon end of first round for Williams which could push into the mid 20s. Understand what you are saying but as some stage they need to do something. If they match Carlton's bid take their first round pick means Carlton won't get Saad, they just need to make clubs aware that they just won't let players go
  5. Would love to see GWS play hard ball with Williams and Cameron. At some stage they need to stand up to clubs and players to make it hard for them to leave. Match the offers, go after Carlton's first round pick it will be 14 or 15 picks higher than what they will receive from for Free agency, get 2 first rounders and a player from Geelong. GWS premiership window is shut, time to start to build a side, they have some talented players that still have a lot of football left, get the right players in through trading and the draft they can rebound pretty quickly.

Yep, using the system to suit your club, we can't complain though we received overs for Frawley

I hope GWS play hard ball with Cameron, 2 first round picks and a player, he is worth more than what Geelong got for Kelly. They will have a pretty strong Masters side in a couple of years

The big advantage this year they also have 3 first round draft picks. If they get Cameron and Smith as free agents, Higgins will be 3rd round pick and keep the 3 first round picks, pretty big win.
  9. Not many left to sign, Jordon should get a contract the rest will depend on who we can trade in. Omac, Hannan, Preuss and TMac will be most likely traded out. Hunt I think is the better of him and Bedford, I think we keep one maybe we are waiting to see if anyone wants Hunt. KK wasn't there something that he will be off the list but his settlement will remain in the 2021 cap

I reckon the ground he covered will be the same, the speed will be the interesting. He isn't quick, but was able to run at his high speed to cover lots of ground. His overhead marking and contested marking was one of the best in the league, he just can't get of the ground anymore. Whether this is due to additional weight or injury something has prohibited him from playing his best.

What is concerning is we as the keyboard warriors watching through our TV's can see this yet our coaches don't or do try to fix and players ignore instructions or do and don't think it is an issue

Have the signed Jack Lonie, wasn't there talk he was on the way out. You would think a in the 30's for Lonie and is around same value for Higgins

He was gone, I think the week we shifted him forward he was being dropped but I think Hogan was injured and they tried him forward. The issue with Tom down back was his field kicking and decision making, he couldn't hit a target always either over or under kicked the footy. Great set shot at goal but no good trying to hit a player. Our backline is good May, Lever, Tomlinson as your 3 key defenders with Smith and Petty as options, Tmac doesn't have a spot down back and I don't think he would want to go back there

Harmes is limited as a player, to me doesn't really have the footy smarts, that is why the run with role suited him, his opponent took him to the ball and to Harmes credit once there was good enough to win it. He has two roles in our side going forward a run with midfielder or a defensive HFF locking down on attacking half backs. Melksham seems to do what he wants, I can't see him and Fritsch working in the same side unless both improve defensively.

Take away the player ratings it doesn't matter, what he said is right our list isn't capable of winning a flag. Our mids are all very similar good at the contest but we lack the high polished mid, Petracca is close but his disposal by foot needs work. Our main bal winners struggle to hit targets by foot especially when it really matters Langdon, Oliver, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca are all prone to butcher the ball by foot. We have the best Tap ruckman in the competition, yet our clearance work at times is extremely poor. I rate our midfield unit as a B, based on they are good individually but as a group they don't work for each other and collectively turn the footy over by foot to much. Add into the this the clearance side we should be dominating and some games we do but other big body midfield groups read of Gawn. Oliver/Brayshaw/Viney some one needs to be the on field organiser and the others need to listen, I think they are to hang up on their individual game and struggle to work together. All three are see ball get ball players, they need to start to think about how to work together to create space for each other instead of crowding the ball. Backline, we have the potential to be a A-Grade backline in 2021, another lockdown small would be great. Fowardline is a D at at moment just to may holes, KPF, pressure forwards, mid size forwards don't really offer any defensive pressure. 4 players away from being a top 4 side, a Key forward, a creative/pressure forward, HFF/Midfielder and high skilled outside mid. That's why we are looking at Brown, Smith and others they are the type of players we need but we need them to be able to produce something close to their best which I'm not sure they can especially Brown.
  16. We drafted players on the game style we wanted to play, good runners, we wanted a uncontested fast game style. Scully and Trengove you can cop Gysberts and Tapscott they were just bad calls, we did get 1 right in that draft Max Gawn. It was built as the draft that would win us a flag. Still remember the photo on the bag page of the herald sun

Yep and have a look at the list of players on that draft that were picked up after Gysberts and Tapscott

I think it will be a long ride in 2021 for them. Their old boys really struggled tonight. Guthrie, Stewart and Duncan were ok but to many players didnt cone out after half time. Rohan is a bad no idea how ge keeps getting games. Taylor is done and there are a number of guys that are border line done. Lucky they have Cameron going in and three first round picks
  19. Dusty wins the game, Danger went missing and just kept going to ground
  20. We saw one superstar tonight, the pretend one in the Geelong Jumper went missing when his team needed someone to stand up.

I hope it is a draw and we have a re match next week. As we enter into a third wave we need something to watch
  22. They are basically like an interstate club, they target players with a go home factor, but the target a lot form not only the Geelong/surf coast region but and good country vic player. They go after players that want to move to that large country town or want country or beach lifestyle. Massive advantage especially after what we have been through in 2020

GWS are interested because they might give us an inflated pick but the MFC will still need to pick up a good whack of TMacs wage. The way players are leaving GWS they are going to have a few first and second round picks, they have really struggled to manage their salary cap to get a player like Tom with MFC paying some of his wage is a bonus for them. Buddle Tmac and Preuss up and go after the pick 7 they will get from Carlton, might need to add in a few pick swaps in the second or third round to make this happen but it could.
  24. This I agree with, a team that finishes18th shouldn't be required to pay the same minimum as a team that wins to premiership. You should be able to pay say 80%, bank that money for future years and as your list develops you have excess salary cap to get a high profiled free agent. I think you are bale to bank for the following year if you spend under the cap now. Clubs that can manage their salary caps are the ones that will win out with FA, timing front or back loading contracts, I will guarantee that Cameron's contract will be massively back ended so the Cats can retire off Hawkins in a year or so and his money goes to Cameron. Outside Buddy, there wouldn't be to many top line free agents that leave successful clubs, Cameron knows GWS are heading downwards he is jumping ship to a club that may have 2 years left in their premiership window

Geelong don't play 2 tall forwards, they are lucky to have the ex Steeple chaser that plays as a mid that can also chop out as second ruck. They have a more mobile mid size forward line with Hawkins, Rohan, Ablett, Dangerfield, the Hook Foot kid. He meets a need we have
