If Jack Trengrove does not get picked up by another AFL Club, is there any chance he could Captain Casey in 2018. He would be a sensational role model for younger players coming into the game at a higher level. It would be a pity to lose a person like him from the Demons, although I could fully understand if he wanted to start a new life outside the "Goldfish Bowl "of AFL. EDIT: As of 3/11/17 Jack Trengove was signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent.

He may have good disposal /decision making skills, but wait until we put him under the microscope of Demonland requiring nothing less than perfect in 23/23 games. Then he will be tested especially when he made mistake while playing for Crows.

Trengove could be captain at Casey. It seems his AFL days are numbered. However we need people like him around our development players @casey. . Too good a clubman and football brain to let go . Yes blame the defenders, when it is their opponents yesterday who were getting the ball lace out. Goody preraches a full team defensive structure, so the blame should be shared as to why Collingwood were so free in the first Q especially. I do not know why we should be trading our first round pick as we already had done that this year. I f we keep trading out our First round we will lose a base for our development. Having said that we must recognise that TMac,Omac, Jayden Hunt all were lower draft picks BUT Oliver ,Petracca and Brayshaw,Salem and Tyson were all high draft picks. I just do not see why we should be throwing the Southern Stand at a defender when we really need an outside mid. But then we have Brayshaw potentially , Salem &Watts if they were tried in that role and Stretch, ANB ,JKH as possibles

Gee we are all so sanctimonious about a person who stuck to his beliefs and wore the penalty to his detriment. Leave him be and reflect on his football. He has been a bigger credit to the game than many of his harshest critics.

Let's be happy for the kid and his future !! We are too often quick to highlight certain players deficiencies ( Watts has copped it for years) The two McD's will be part of our P'ship team. TMac's bullocking efforts in the 2nd half got us into the game because Pedersen could play up fwd. OMac held up or defence As I mentioned on another post TMac only took one mark yesterday which is way down on his usual, but his work in the Ruck as a big body rather than as a ruckman got us into it.

I find a lot of the criticism of this kid smacking of looking for another scapegoat. We criticise Jack Watts as Number 1 but do not parise him for working to improve . Tommy Mac was pick 52. He has been a real bargain/revelation, and that has come from hard work . Give him some space. Personally I feel he just tries too hard and at times sets too high a standard. Wish we had more like him !! PS : There is a big difference between Edenhope/Apsley U17 and AFL.

Tommy Mac stands tall, doesn't give in and has some handy scalps.e.g he can run with Riewoldt (except when he has two corkies), Franklin and last saturdya night stood tall again. His 1% are valuable because the blokes against him are scorers. We need to support him. Just a few weeks ago everyone was saying how well the defence knits and now we tear them down . Frremantle scored less than 100 points and a lot of them were through turnovers further up the ground. Let's be fair.
