  1. Honestly the tone of this whole thread is akin to us getting flogged by St Kilda kicking 10 goals in the last Q. Tim Watson and Jimmy Bartels did not cause any Melbourne players to make mistakes today or any day for that matter. If this how we win , then we would be better off losing and obviously some people then can find someone to blame.
  2. Would have to agree. He is starting to get some confidence in his game. Worth noting in the last couple of weeks that we have l;ifted when Gus has been in the middle and up & about.
  3. This is absolutely crap !!! These two footballers have been Greats !! Get the chip off your shoulders and learn to accept criticism. I listened to his broadcast after i got home from the game and found his and Bartels comments quite constructive.
  4. Positives today: TMac is back : gives us competitiveness Brayshaw: one of the instigators in turning game around OMac : Getting pretty ********* good Nev : Geeaaaaaaaaaaat !
  5. I was a knocker, but the last couple of games have changed my opinion. Well done to him.
  6. Does this mean they actually read Demonland posts in the rooms at half time, because that is what they fixed. You are a virtual genius Bizkit!!!!
  7. Good to see young Gus figure in voting !!! Class coming through.
  8. Tmac : Thank god he is back Fritsch : Something to work with Spargo ; YOuthful Enthusiasm : Loves contest Jetta : The Great !!! Lever : Improving Melksham : I was wrong : Confidence is a terrific thing. Tyson: Still bombs alot Brayshaw : gaining confidence OMac : AA Gawn : AA Jones : Heart & Soul Hibberd : He is back Weidermann : Developing Hannan : In mix with Fritsch, Melksham, Kent, Bugg, Harmes, ANB as small forwards, but is a footballer !!! Jack Watts : Did not get many kicks
  9. I am a Brayshaw fan and would agree with you in relation to the first 1/4. However he improved a lot during the night. I feel he still does not seem to have a role. At many stoppages he seemed to be about 10m outside the stoppage, but Gawny did little tap downs and the ball did not come out. Honestly i think the worst role at MFC over the last couple of years has been as an outside mid. Our clearance work seems to be see ball get ball, hooray punt. It has crucified Watts, limited Salem and had put Brayshaw in no mans land. I thought the biggest issues with MFC last Tuesday was their ball handling whereas Richmond were very clean and spread from stoppages/intercepts very well . The third quarter was probably the most intense football played for the year, but we could not keep it up. Fitness/Maturity could be reasons ??? Positives : OMac continues to improve because he has been allowed to develop in his defined role. Weiderman was a real positive I thought. Matured a lot I have been critical of Lever and Melksham but both were vast improvements as was Hunt's attack. I stiil live in hope !!!
  10. Actually I queried why we got Lever. Having said that he is here now and he one of our own. Please do not turn him into another whipping boy like JW, Tom Mac, OMac and Gus (based on Newscorp Gossip)
  11. Yes when you look at it we had 11 of last weeks side who had played less than 50 games at the start of this year. Our number of games include Jones (240) Lewis ( 285) and Bernie (210) . Gartlett is next and then Bugg(ar) Experience is needed and may not be really evident if you are not actually in the jungle.
  12. Three Essential players. Noted from original thread list 11 of these player had less than 50 Games at the start of the season. Time for some patience about expectations
  13. Let's give the kid some credit. He was selected in the mid draft and has worked really hard to get here. He has the ability to get around the ground, provide options and is prepared to lower his eyes when he kicks. Plus he was our only goal kicker we had after 1/4 time. Reward for putting in all day. With confidence he is improving.
  14. Maybe some decisions made in relation to the Manpower makeup in Defence made over the late 2017 has upset the structure somewhat, because some players seem lost. As mentioned (by me) in another topic Hibberd and Lever are similar defenders although i think Hibberd is more accountable in his game style than Lever. OMac is the standout positive down there at the moment because he has been allowed to continue in the role he was being groomed for. Frosty may be able to run, but eventually you have to get rid of the ball to be of value to team. In 2nd Q Hawthorn scored two goals account poor decision making by Frost's turnovers
  15. Put Lever on Rance and make him learn to be accountable. At the moment our Defence is leaking like a sieve with people unsure of their role especially Hibberd who cannot run the lines because Lever is not accountable ... a permanent spare man in Defence. Oscar and Jetta are the only two defenders who are fully aware of their roles
  16. A competitve side like RIchmond are going to "Ëat us alive". They play to support each other all the time, not just when it suits us or the conditions suit. Out : Melksham . Bugg, ,Harmes In : Hunt,Maynard , Anybody who is a team player
  17. Bit harsh on Brayshaw's skill level compared to what else was on display today by MFC. He was far from the worst Brayshaw : Showed good signs. Competed Melksham : Missed the train Harmes : Missed the train MFC : Dry Weather "Footballers" HFC : Showed what desire can do. OMac : Doubters silenced now. Hibberd : Confused in his role Lever : Should Mark. Spare Defender : Lacking confidence
  18. Nearly kicked the TV set in the teeth to try and shut Eddie Everywhere up shrieking about Majak. Then I thought this is the only TV in the house !! (Ah the benefits of being so rational.) Clarries a gun !!!
  19. Jaydn Hunt was dropped because of form, so needs to earn his spot back. Only change : Brayshaw for Melksham (account poor decision making and skill execution)
  20. Best for North Melbourne : 3 votes :Umpires 2 Votes : Melsham cost us 2 goal through not looking and poor disposal which lead to NM GOals on rebound. Get Gus'number !!!
  21. Has Angus Brayshaw left the building ? Bit hard to change things when there are no games for him to play in.
  22. Potentially an absolute superstar. I reckon he is more like a Jobe Watson (only quicker) by the way he keeps his hands high enabling him to handball so effectively . He is getting more penetration with his kicking this year. Becoming a barometer for the team.
  23. Brayshaw : Missed the plane. Yeh, Wagner could be a "stopper"as lond as when he gets it somebody responsible is in the area . Buit a real trier
  24. Hunt : Cannot defend Lever : Cannot hold ball Wagner : Can tackle !!!! Jeffy : Magnificent Clarrie : Best player in AFL under 21
  25. Goodwin touched on the disposal in his Post Match. Would have to agree that "bombing it"only counts for Inside 50 Stat not scoring stat. When we moved the ball well (lowered eyes) we made it look easy. Game 1 of 25. To be honest Tyson and Viney are see ball, get ball, and bomb, so our solution has to come from within present group. e.g. Salem, Watts, Trac , Oliver, Brayshaw i.e. Runners and Deliverers
