Gee we are all so sanctimonious about a person who stuck to his beliefs and wore the penalty to his detriment. Leave him be and reflect on his football. He has been a bigger credit to the game than many of his harshest critics.

Why would we be trading Tyson (inside mid/young player) and ANB (developing midfielder who until a couple of weeks ago we were lauding as to how much he has improved) We have youth , let it develop and then we will get loyalty. Think Hawthorn (in general) or Geelong Just bring in our most pressing need : Ross, Kelly, Conalgio, Heeney , Scully (Higgins is too old for us), Mewrrit, Parish or Salem, Watts Petracca. al of these are what we want. Some of them have been used by their teams to develop but there are three who are not being utilised by their current team. And hopefully we have a current No 3 draft pickchamping at the bit !! WE had one , he was playing against us yesterday. He got an offer he could not refuse and his old man got a job.

I feel Jeff G & JW are barometers of the quality of ball going into fwd line. If the ball is just bombed in these blokes do not get a look in. When we move the ball well Watts is the player who really delivers the ball well and connects well and makes good decisions. (Yes, I do not think he had a good day today and his style does not meet the bash and crash criteria of some but he is the link man and he cannot get the ball when it is 40 feet above his head... Petracca is still learning but he will become a quality "fwd controller"

I would suggest Clayton have a look at Jobe Watson a couple of years ago when he used handball very constructively and opened the game up many many times. The coaches should be encouraging him to kick . Wasn't that the reason he was sent back to Casey last year. Do not get me wrong, he could finish up as one of our greats. He is only 19 !! Viney seems to be just getting the ball in close and going nowhere. You do not score much from wrestling the ball on the ground. When we are running and spreading (like GWS today) we are a really good side right across the board.

Would have to agree with these comments. Bit difficult for any of our fwds in the 1st half because we bombed.it in all the time !! No brains in the midfield. Petracca and Oliver need to kick more .

Get rid of this thread it is only a pipe dream if we continue to play like this. We are currently getting a football lesson from the AFL side.

There seems to be no method in entering our fwd line apart from bombing, which reaslly worked so well last week too. This crucifies our Fwds . We seem to be running back to make biggr packs and GWS are keeping the game closed when kicking against the wind. Thinking would be a good start. Bit disappointed with how things are going today. Would likle to see a better process in next half. I do not think any of our forwards are getting many possessions. Two goals with a 6 goal wind is not good.

Noted a few things : Bottom LH of Screen "Simon Goodwin- former Assistant Coach at Essendon" Why was he there in a Melbourne top ??? I am sure a few people have been shown a clean pair of heels by Boak,Gray ( both by their clas and Impey with his natural pace. Likewise on othe teams' sites people would be saying that so & so could not keep up with Hunt, Jetta, Frost and TMac. So it is a bit unfair to use isolated contests/examples. Jobe Watson, Seb Ross, Sam Mitchell, Greg Williams all looked slow BUT could play footy which is the game not a 100m sprint. Coming from a bloke who could never run fast enough to do a Hammy.

I do not think TMac's game on Saturday was "Quiet". He was one of our better 3or 4 players.

I suppose it would be pretty hard to run swo fast and balance at the same time. I have had awful difficulty at either of those skills. However I agree

Get on the bandwagon. I propose it should be placed 30 m from goal on bothe ends of the ground just to remind us of all his second efforts he has made on behalf of the team.
