  4. i try to avoid discussions on religion, politics and diets, but i'll stick to belle gibson's "the whole pantry" app diet
  5. even blind freddy thinks it's highly likely
  6. still plenty of time for carltank to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory and talking of tanking, what was that yesterday?

  13. now you've just repeated yourself pity you don't appreciate nuance or the art of listening to others i initially just jumped in on your dismissive attitude to jim and your failure to appreciate that there are alternatives to myopic black and white opinions, but it seems i failed
  14. see my other post at about the time of yours, specifically about kids and mixed messages and when did i become your friend?
  15. i should perhaps add that i find it a little bit hypocritical for footballers to rail against bullying and on the field try every trick to physically and mentally intimidate their opponents. I'm specifically talking about the stuff that's not part of the game. now i'm a big boy and i can easily separate what i see on the field from the message they are trying to impart on the banner and on videos etc but..........try to explain to my 7 yo grandson the difference between the treatment max got against port adelaide and the bullying he sees at the schoolyard
  16. didn't say it was bad, just thought jack raised some good points, and also tried to make the point that there are limits to this sort of stuff for what is primarily a sport where people see it as a sanctuary from their day to day problems i can assure you smokey, that if i wish to be informed and up to date on social issues, a football club would be the last place i'd go looking for any substance
  17. you make some good points, jack too much social engineering from the afl (and clubs) risks ending up with confusion and seeming to be patronising i agree footy is basically escapism and there are limits to pretentious role-making fabrications
  18. i'd definitely play freddy
  19. 9 players got < 10 touches, so there is the first 9 changes and we need a change to the game plan.......and the bath water
  20. wtf has colour got to do with this? jeeeez
  21. that's great, but it would be better if they could update the web site which is still quoting 44,008 (on both home page and membership page)
  22. It's far far too early to tell and too easy to jump to conclusions obviously new game plans are required both offensively and defensively and these will take months (or more) to evolve toss in the fact that it is season start and many players and teams are still a little rusty we may not have a very clear picture till the bye time
  23. interesting that he is not mentioned in club article whereas 5 others are mentioned as being in the mix
