  1. The sooner the rule is changed to the same as used in the AFLW the better. A free is paid if the ball is handballed or kicked OOB ( last touch) between the 50m arcs. No more need to interpret. And like the AFLW, there is suddenly an inspiration for players to keep the ball in play, that doesn't exist in the mens game.
  2. Exactly. Even without a set play scenario trying to kick a goal, punching the ball toward goal would have created a scramble and fear in the Adelaide defenders. A rushed behind would have been nearly a certainty.
  3. At least 30. I can remember Stuart Spencer telling everyone we would be setting up at Caulfield racecourse.
  4. Is there something going on at AAMI to clear out the other tenants? https://www.theage.com.au/sport/soccer/home-of-matildas-to-be-in-melbourne-after-116m-government-backing-20210516-p57sb6.html "Construction on the $116 million Victorian Home of the Matildas will kick off in December, with the state-of-the-art facility at Latrobe University set to be completed in time for the national team to train there ahead of the 2023 Women’s World Cup in Australia. Rugby union will also be a beneficiary of the state and federal government largesse, with top-class facilities for that sport to develop its own State Rugby Union Centre also being built at the same facility." This following the announcement of facilities for Rugby League north of the city last week. If Rebels and Storm move their training from Gosch's, then a whole new area is available.
  5. In order for all tickets to appear in the same app on the screen, they must have the same email ( and Log in) address. And that email address must be the same as their Melbourne FC membership details. Unfortunately you can change neither online, and have to contact the membership department. It is quicker to email them, rather than waiting on the phone. I spent an hour waiting to speak to someone last week to find out about the email discrepency problem, but an email outlining the solution desired was responded to within a very short period of time.
  6. Your membership email has to be the same as the Demons APP login, or the tickets will not be posted to the app to access.
  7. We MIGHT have a membership tent open this week. Awaiting advice from AFL. Ridiculous that they can't do this given you can go to Demon shop, crowd in, and purchase merchandise. Or buy a hamburger from one of the pie carts outside, but you can't collect a scarf from the club at their stall.
  8. Article here: https://womens.afl/news/72193
  9. Rebels are now based at Princes park for training. Melbourne city are based at Casey Fields for training.
  10. And if you visit the Ground during the weekdays, you will see that it is covered with lighting modules which are there to make the grass grow. To put it simply the MCG is unavailable weekdays and from October to March. ( How many times does this need to be explained?)

  12. Spot on assessment Joeboy. We were lucky to win despite a large number of players not performing. Too many peoples eyes glaze over with a win. What is comforting is that we could win with so many down.
  13. Article just released on the AFL site compares the two.... Already better than peak Cyril? The crazy stats behind Kozzy's stunning rise
  14. St.Kilda's numbers cannot be trusted. Gonzo is right about the pre-season hopes as well. And their $1 membership scam they used in 2019, just to get peoples names and addresses. I think it was 2 or 3 years ago, we had more members than the Saints signed up by about 3 or 4 thousand as it approached July. Then suddenly they miraculously had 4,000 members sign up in one week, just before the tally closed. Then looking at the revenue at the end of the season, and comparing them to our revenue, a St.Kilda member was only worth $75, whereas ours were worth north of $200. It just didn't add up, and doesn't today.
  15. Demonology still operates under different operators than the people who conned Tim_ into letting them take it. Not as active as the old days. Demonland is the place to be. http://demonology.me/
  16. There were no digital membership cards. The plan was to issue your entry bar code before each round. COVID ruined that plan. I suggest getting the bar code number off the email the club would have sent you to gain access to tickets, through Ticketek. That might work?
  17. They were the only club who initially didn't sign up to the AFL/Telstra deal. But now looking at their website https://www.essendonfc.com.au/...(I know I should get a warning for this) ...it is exactly the same format as the other clubs, indicating they have also signed up with the evil side..... Pity in a way, because when they ran their own show, it was light-years ahead in terms of presentation and accessibility. It had first rate graphics and they could put up what they liked, when they liked. But it probably cost a lot to run, and after the supplements saga, the money probably ran dry....including from sponsors who would have been willing to support it...
  18. Club not allowed to at the moment due to COVID restrictions.
  19. The main change we don't want to see is Matthew Nicholls umpiring a Sydney game: https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/cats-denied-by-umpires-contentious-call-20210501-p57o2r.html
  20. NO Coach has said Petty will come in.
