  1. More to the point Goodwin dislikes certain players and they happen to be the ones with pace.
  2. Playing a fast side who have added Hunter Clark, we have gone slower. Hunt and Bedford must be on the nose.
  3. Don’t, we are an aqua duck and can float. Amphibious I think is the word .
  4. What will another injury do to that?
  5. Clearly not based on performance he won’t.
  6. Agree, as would most of the footy community.
  7. Or getting all your frees in the back pocket while your forwards get few.
  8. Next 3 are WC, Cats and Port. Let’s see how they go against them.
  9. What has happened to Bedford?
  10. Membrey has killed us every time.
  11. Balme would never ever want Footy Operations job. Too much work.
  12. A Premiership.
  13. Not saying that we would want him, but he is a mile better than Spargo and also far more expensive..
  14. So let's get all of this sh-t in order and that is what it is, sh-t. Langdon gets a free for his tackle, most media say it is a fair tackle and he is fined with his appeal dismissed. Dahlhaus does exactly the same tackle as ANB and gets a week and then has his appeal upheld ending with a fine like Langdon. ANB is penalised a quarter of the current 17 game season, for the same tackle as Dahlhaus, with the only difference being that ANB's opponent got a concussion. So I suppose the rule now is, no suspension for a sling tackle, unless the victim is concussed and the penalty is then a quarter of the season. The exception to the rule will be where the player charged is a star player, from a big club and then the rules won't apply. The exception to the exception, will be that it can vary without any reasonable explanation, if the AFL wants it to, for any commercial, legal, whim or other reason that the AFL may decide on at that time, or at any time, past, present or future and that decision may be made by any past, present, future CEO of the AFL including any not yet conceived let alone born. Lastly, the exception will not deal with the Trengove 4 week penalty for the same offence, nor will it ever be discussed publicly or privately.
  15. That sums it up pretty well.
  16. No one is justifying drunk driving, you are simply not understanding what different offences are and have glibly said that the people who were trying to explain it to you are justifying drunk driving. As they say you can lead a horse to water.
  17. Actually you are confusing 2 separate offences. It is an offence to drive a car drunk, even if your driving is ok. It is also an offence to run someone down. It is a worse offence if you run someone down, while drunk. Those laws are well known before you get in a car. You don't know the law when you tackle, because the law changes depending on who you are, what club you play for and to a degree what if any injury the tackled player receives. Then again if you play for Melbourne, you can be suspended for not making contact with a player, if that player thinks you might and hurts himself slightly trying to avoid you. ( Brent Moloney got weeks for missing Bartel ). That has never happened before or since. We did nothing about it. Just like you probably won't re ANB. IMO a statement is needed from our Footy Manager on the harsh treatment of our player for identical tackles which receive no penalty at all. After all he was effectively given 25% of this season for a tackle that others are completely getting off.
  18. Well well. Cats and Port players let off by the Tribunal for the very same action as ANB, with only one difference, the victim wasn’t concussed. If the AFL represented society, you could get off for attempting to shoot someone if you missed, but be found guilty of assault, if you slipped in the street and fell on someone, causing them to fall over and cut their hand in a minor injury. We have now had 2 blokes ( ANB and Jack Trengove)done for 4 weeks in sling tackles where other blokes for the same action get off. If I wasn’t a 68 year old grandfather and lawyer, I would simply say to the AFL, GAGF. To be honest I think Josh Mahoney should come out and slam the AFL for the total hypocrisy and corrupt way in which it has dealt with ANB and bugger the consequences. Stand up for our player and club, this is an unmitigated disgrace.
  19. We have another one. Your medical degree was from where?
  20. There are just morons and dickhe-ds out there and it is impossible to get them all to act like human beings. Now some more morons want to march in Melbourne because they think the Virus is a scam. I wonder I how the relatives of the people who have died or are very sick from the virus feel. On top of it all they will risk infecting more people if they march. I would get the water hoses out and then throw them in jail wet.
  21. If true that is very concerning and possibly explains a lot of things.
  22. Interesting point, as several teams have their Coach, or an Assistant on the bench, able to talk to players immediately they rotate to the bench. I haven’t noticed Goodwin or any Assistant at the bench for us, but I stand to be corrected if I am wrong.
  23. Not a stupid idea, as it probably only would be used for assisting veterans get to a milestone, or giving guys on the fringe a last chance at impressing the FD.
  24. Luke Dahlhaus just got a week for the identical tackle that ANB got 4 weeks for, with one exception, the victim wasn’t concussed. That is pathetic, in that penalty is now decided not by intent, or legality of action, but on any injury that occurs. Punch a bloke in the face, which is an illegal act, but if victim not injured, result is a fine or 1 week. This is ridiculous. AFL now more concerned with staging.
