  1. They both have had injuries, but were part of a defence Sunday that only conceded 7 goals. Pretty good I would have thought.
  2. And that is why anything is on the table, as the season is on a knife’s edge. We are in the middle of the worst pandemic in maybe a century and we are trying to keep sport going.
  3. They beat us with two players effectively out of the whole game and even Danger off for nearly a quarter. Getting close is not the issue here and those who think we did ok, are sadly mistaken IMO..
  4. Any decent side would have beaten the Cats yesterday. Stewart was off early and Atkins was injured early, he had one possession and they had another injury later, as well as Danger off for most of a quarter. We don’t convert opportunities and it is because of the selection of the side, the game plan and the lack of skill of the players. Other teams have us worked out and that is why the Cats played that chip game yesterday. Name one time when we found a forward leading into space and he was given the ball. We are incapable of maintaining possession of the ball. We are a team of hard at it players who lack basic disposal skill. With our unbending game plan of bomb it in, we are doomed to more losses than wins. The dumb mistakes we make have to be down to Coaching. The Coach seems unwilling or unable to change. I love Viney and Oliver’s attack on the footy but they simply turn it over far too often. Watch the game again and you will see Viney swing into his left and kick it to a pack or nowhere near a teammate. Oliver too often kicks without even looking. He is a shadow of himself in his first year. People on here are not against their club if they write what they see, despite some attacking others for not simply showing blind loyalty. Any fan watching the last half of the Blues game and yesterday’s game would have to be worried and agree that we play ugly footy that is hard to watch and the footy world seems to agree. If we don’t fix up our poor skill, poor game plan and poor selection of the team, we will remain the same.
  5. Our first 9 entries gave us no score at all and Cats had at the same time 2 entries for 2 goals. Coachless.
  6. That is true. It looks like we don’t know what to do. We don’t man the goal line on a shot and we keep the ball in, when we are standing on the boundary line near their point post. Then we don’t man up in defence allowing short passes to guys on their own. That is the result of a poorly coached, poorly selected and poorly organised team. This bomb it in game is a disaster.
  7. His 50 metre penalty with a minute or so to go was pathetic. Melksham and Hannan were in the goal square and only one defender anywhere near them and he walks forward, then ignores them and kicks to Melksham one out against 3. Can we be more unaware or have less urgency when the game unbelievably was still there to win.
  8. Obviously front on contact isn’t a free if it is to a Melbourne player. Melksham in goal square and Tom MAC .
  9. Poorly selected. Poorly coached. No skill. Dumb. Don’t touch balls on goal line. Don’t put ball over the boundary. No game plan.
  10. I have held out for a while but we have no coach. This is garbage. They are one down and beating us and we have kicked 3 goals in 3/4. Picked a team of flankers and most have hardly touched it. Worst skills of any team in the AFL by a mile. Can’t handball to advantage and can’t kick the footy to a team mate. No game plan or system at all.
  11. Dumbest football team ever. Keep the ball in play and give another goal. Actually making me sick being beaten by an ordinary side one man down.
  12. Tom MAC hasn’t taken a mark but is playing well, bringing the ball to ground, but our crumbing is terrible. Needed to play another key forward, too many flankers doing nothing.
  13. He has half a game to keep his place.
  14. Has cost us 4 times. Pathetic so far.
  15. The game is not about punching players in the back, hard enough to crack their ribs and bruise their lung. All done deliberately to a guy who can’t see you coming. That ain’t a love tap. Rules say straight to the tribunal and minimum 3 weeks. BTW Carlton played one short as a result the whole game. Nice tactic for a GF to a star of the opposition if it was legal. AFL would love that.
  16. Might be worth having a chat to Mitch Lewis at Hawthorn, seems on the outer and might be unhappy.
  17. Even low grade hammies need about 21 days. Can't see them risking him in 14 days.
  18. What new rule? I have watched it a few times and can't work out what he did, other than try to get to the full back who had played on. He actually was blocked by another player and fell over. Bizarre.
  19. We know he isn’t match fit. He played 50% of the first game he has played since leaving Freo and seemingly heading to retirement. They have got him back and we have to trust they know how to get the most out of him and keep his career going.
  20. Looks like Jon Ralph is trying to stir up trouble. Has written that despite Goodwin saying Harley was not picked on a minutes on ground basis, that Harley believes he was dropped for poor form. Unless he has spoken to Harley that is pretty ordinary.
  21. Don't be upset, it is probably due to that polluted water he ingests in his lilypond.
  22. Just as we don't have a vaccine for the virus, we also don't have one for stupidity, bigotry and violence.
  23. They won't cut lists too dramatically, maybe only a couple and Petty is absolutely safe.
