The biggest tick against Roos is that he has never had to build a club from the ground up - he took over at Sydney which had a pretty handy list to start with. Having said that, I don't think any coach in the modern era has been asked to do what the next MFC coach is being asked to do. No club has been this low, and survived. No guarantees.

Roos is spending serious time in Melbourne now - on the couch, fox footy game day stuff etc. Moving would be OK I would have thought - maybe the massive commitment that being a senior coach requires is the final hitch. (Having said that, fox footy et al are pretty demanding time wise at least.) Put the (wrist slashing) knives away for now.

Had a fair bit to do with Dangerfield............ Most clubs have some senior players/leaders when a new coach takes over.....MFC is the exception; they have none.

Let the 'mongrel' start...... Watts is out the door....don't give a [censored] what for (trade wise)....just moving him on would be a positive for the team. (Mongrel = realism.)

Correct. MFC do not give a [censored] about Casey. For the last 5? years, the MFC have deliberately destroyed Casey's finals chances. Read that again: DELIBERATELY. Peter Jackson should call in the FD and beat the be-jesus out of the lot of them Absolute disgrace. I am ashamed of them....even more than the appalling floggings they have got this year.
