  1. Fantastic podcast again last night folks. Loved the positivity, even after the loss. Keep up the great work!
  2. I remember the feeling of utter devastation at not making the finals in 1965, while the rest of my ‘one-eyed’ Essendon family revelled in it, and took great pleasure in telling me all about it when the Dons went on to win the Flag that year. I also remember obtaining ‘revenge’ for the taunts from my little sister, by locking her in our backyard dunny, and not releasing her until she could recite our 1964 Premiership team word perfect. We laugh about it today, but I don’t recall her laughing at the time. The last 58 years have taught me the hard way how to deal responsibly with jibes about the Dees. I’ve well and truly learned my lesson, and it’s time for the ‘curse’ to be lifted.
  3. Any chance the AFL can afford to buy their Umpiring Dept some measuring tapes?
  4. 6. Oliver 5. Lever 4. Gawn 3. Petracca 2. Viney 1. Hunt
  5. Hmm. That’s exactly what I thought last week OMD.
  6. Dr Jekyll or Mr Hyde?
  7. I'm even more confident now that I've seen both teams.
  8. This exercise was a bit like a hen scratching around in a s#!tty chook house, searching for a few grains of soiled wheat. 6. Oliver 5. Lever 4. Petracca 3. Salem 2. Petty 1. Jordon
  9. What a waste of a launching pad into the finals! I'm dumbfounded by this getting up for games against good teams, and the constant fumbles, poor skills and thoughtless decision making that besets us against the 'also-rans.' Totally dumbfounded!
  10. I expect us to play ‘our brand’ for 100 minutes, and walk off the ‘G’ with our biggest winning margin of the year. The ‘new’ season starts in just a few short weeks. Time to start asserting ourselves!
  11. Watch the replay of the Port game for a fifth time.
  12. Great insights and analysis guys. Most enjoyable. Thanks!
  13. That was a ‘progressive’ comment pineapple (lol). See my update “and it just got even better”.
  14. ……… and it just got even better!!
  15. Swans! Ripper result caps off ripper weekend for the mighty Dees.
  16. 6. Petracca 5. Salem 4. T.Mac 3. Gawn 2. May 1. Oliver Gee that was hard and probably a bit harsh not to give votes to the likes of Petty, Langdon, Pickett, Hunt and Hibbo. Great team football!
  17. I saw a team playing premiership type football tonight.
  18. No predictions from me today, just a fervent hope that we can come out with fire in our bellies from the first bounce, and tidy up our clearance work, forward entries and goal kicking. Achieve these, and a result in our favour will take care of itself ………. if not the result will also take care of itself, BUT ………….
  19. Great discussion as usual guys. Thanks. MFCSS has been creeping up on me over the last few rounds, but listening to George and Bin last night has kept it at bay for at least another week.
  20. 6. Salem 5. May 4. T.Mac 3. Gawn 2. Lever 1. Fritsch
  21. We desperately needed another kpf. I hope BBB kills it for Casey tonight.
  22. We desperately needed another kpf. I hope BBB kills it for Casey.
  23. It's a four quarter game. Where was the intensity in the first three quarters?
  24. Both teams are talented, but with the exception of Toby Green, they are mentally fragile when the heat is turned up. Our toughness around the contest, will to win, commitment to team defence and superior fitness will see us across the line by 4 to 5 goals, after a ‘slog feast’ for the first three quarters. Another one of those games where we seem to hold the upper hand for most of the day, but don’t break away until the last quarter.
  25. I hope you are correct Jack, because this these fixtures are not only compromising Casey, but also the Melbourne Demons.
