  1. Only 1/4 time, but so far not seeing anything from GWS that will seriously challenge the Dees on Easter Sunday in Canberra.
  2. 6. Oliver 5. Salem 4. Petracca 3. Gawn 2. Pickett 1. Tomlinson ANB and Langdon very worthy, but we don’t have sufficient votes.
  3. Defence outstanding as a group. Tomlinson and Salem the cream tonight IMO. Last week it was May and Lever. Becoming the envy of the AFL. You can build a Flag around a great back half.
  4. Oskar Baker confirmed as medical sub.
  5. Thrilling stuff. Great belief and determination, with most players lifting a notch in the last, got us over the line. Couldn't be happier with that 'come from behind' performance. Do Dees!
  6. They look better than us but we are hanging around ....... close enough, but we need a big last quarter. Time for Paxy, who is having a stinker by her lofty standards, to lead from the front.
  7. I’m really looking forward to this the game, but as jumpy as a ‘cat on a hot tin roof’ about the result. We will need to clean up our clearance from stoppage work to stay with them, but if we can do that, our fitness, and their shorter preparation after a tougher game last week, might see us get over them in the last. With fingers firmly crossed, Dees by seven points.
  8. Incredibly bad luck for Goldie (hamstring tendon), and we'll tymiss her drive out of defence enormously. Hopefully the return of Meg Downie for her first game at AFLW level for the year will offset this somewhat. Important game in preparation for a strong finals campaign.
  9. Many of us die-hard Dees believe that we could have struck gold with Kozzie. Wouldn't it be amazing if he announced his 'arrival' to the wider football community against the Saints on Saturday night? Against Freo he looked to me to be primed and ready to go. Just a gut feeling that tomorrow night he might take centre stage.
  10. We are in the back row of the same stand. I’ll keep a eye out for you and the lad mate. It’s been a while!
  11. We got ours 9:40am. Apparently the problem was solved early. Go for it now Demonlanders.
  12. Agree 100%. They got on the front foot immediately. My email from them time stamped 9:04am.
  13. Exactly the same problem Sue ........ and we live in Canberra. Grrrr!
  14. Rarely misses a target i50 .... a scarce commodity at Melbourne. The more he gets the ball, the more valuable he will become. An important player (gut feeling says 'on the rise!').
  15. Excellent, wide ranging interview .... Maysie 'wears his heart on his sleeve'. I absolutely love the wholehearted way he has embraced the Dees.
  16. It's still MFCSS, just change the last word to 'stupidity'...........(sorry!)
  17. Goody said in his post-match presser that Viney played well for Casey, and got through unscathed. Went on to say that they will assess during the coming week, but would be conservative with him, Hibbo and Melk coming off limited pre seasons.
  18. An outstanding win by our girls. Showed true Demon grit and determination to come back, and then hold on when the odds were stacked against them. Very proud of them! Capped off a great weekend for for the red and blue faithful.
  19. 6. Lever 5. May 4. McDonald 3. Oliver 2. Langdon 1. Spargo A lot to look forward to with Jordon and Kossie.
  20. TMac is back! Well done Tommy!
  21. I’ll be stuck in Canberra, glued to the TV and dressed in my full game day outfit. I’ll be cheering along with you folks at the G, and belting out the words of the Grand Old Flag with you after the final siren (I wonder what the new neighbours will think!). Dees by 5 or 6 goals!
  22. It's a winning lineup for mine. That will do me!
  23. I love your training reports pickett, but .........
  24. Some people are just slow learners drysdale. Three of the four named on the bench could play on the wing for starters. Personally I'd like to see Riv given an opportunity there.
  25. Great podcast fellas. Thank you! The following observations from Perty were the highlights for me: - over the break, he has seen a major step-up in player maturity and leadership from the likes of May, Lever, Petracca, ANB and others, who have taken it upon themselves to 'drive standards'; - in the context that consistent skill execution has been an obvious weakness, improving this area has been a key focus of the off-season; - Adem Yze is very comfortable 'pushing back' against Goody and the other coaches, where he has an alternate view or opinion; - Choco has been more than prepared to make players 'uncomfortable' if they don't measure up to the high standards which he expects; - Goody is really enjoying the energy, ideas and IP provided by the new members of the coaching group. If all of this translates to game days, we have an exciting season to look forward to. Bring it on!!
