  2. Great post btd.
  3. What a great Club, and what great supporters we have. Our footy has been pretty shitty of late, but this is an achievement to be proud of. Great job Fork, and everyone else involved. Please bump my earlier contribution up to $50. PAID 28 JUNE (DN122682)
  4. Great initiative. Would love to contribute $25.
  5. Can't agree. Just casting my mind back to last Friday night, I reckon we missed perhaps 5 or 6 potential goals because of poor delivery into our forward line, or lack of awareness in the midfield about available options in the forward 50.
  6. Wholeheartedly agree E25. Bails is currently half way through his contract, and has, by and large, a group of very average seniors and inexperienced kids with potential, playing for him at the moment. The Dees are coming from a lot further back than Hawthorn, and while all of us here are impatient for success, we also need to take a deep breath and be realistic in our expectations.
  7. Thanks for taking the time to take the mickey out of matthews and amuse all of us. Well done H.
  8. Damn near the most insightful article Sheahan has ever written IMO!
  9. Well spoken DD ..... and Lisa, all the best with the Casey Demons. I hope they thrive.
  10. It was indeed a great debut, and Rhino, your summary of the attributes LJ displayed captures it beautifully. And well done RudeBoy, you predicted that we would witness something special, and you were spot on.
  11. If you think that's the case, then you can only have been watching for the last 2 seasons .... but I'm glad that you are now on board.

  13. Small correction Mo. All it suggests is that he wasn't happy with what we produced against Collingwood. Your post suggests that Bails is not happy with what we are producing generally. You really are a master of generalisation!
  14. ........... and you RudeBoy, will be able to look back with pride, and say: I had a significant part to play in that history making journey. Many thanks RudeBoy, and all the best Jooka, for an historic debut.
  15. This is such a great story. Just reading these threads gives me a wild combination of emotions: tears of joy (literally), exitement, anticipation, gratitude to everyone who has supported LJ along the way, pride that my footy club has played an important part in it, etc, etc. Wow, imagine how LJ must be feeling ..... but something tells me he will take it all in his stride.
  16. Just heard on Canberra radio that CC has said that he is not interested in the NM or R'mond coaching positions. Excellent! He has real passion for the Dees, and seems to be doing a great job.
  17. 'Jookaaaa' sounds great. Shouldn't be getting too far ahead of ourselves at this stage, but I can imagine the 'G' rockin with that call every time he gets his hands on the pigskin.
  18. On the field, the untapped potential and development of Liam Jurrah (even though we havn't yet seen him in red and blue) is right up there with Frawley, Sylvia, Bennell, Grimes, Warnock and Davey on the positive side of the ledger. The off-field improvements (eg. MCC re-alignment, Casey, membership growth, sponsorships, unity of purpose in pursuit of objectives) are huge positives for the Club. At last, we are starting to earn a bit of respect in this area. On the debit side, the inability of our mids (as a group) to have a worthwhile influence on any game to this point of the season is a major concern. Unfortunately, the careers of all of the regulars in this part of the ground seem to have plateaued prematurely, or gone backwards. This is probably understandable in one or two cases, but mystifying in the others. The long-term injuries to Garland and Wanna (in particular), also represent major setbacks for me.
  19. He hasn't quite passed him yet, but he's started making up for lost time at a fast rate. Gee, it only seems a few weeks back that Brock was publicly advising Col. about his form.
  20. QUOTE (Jaded @ Jun 8 2009, 06:10 PM) Who would you have appointed? .......... and Jill, if Sheedy had been appointed, what would be your guesstimate of his current win/loss ratio at Melbourne? .... and where would you (hypothetically speaking) have the Demons on the 'premiership clock'?
  21. I couldn't have said it better Rojik. ........ and Rudeboy, I get the feeling from your posts that you are constantly being rewarded by just being part of Liam's life ........ and I reckon you will be every bit as proud as he will when he makes his debut, and then (hopefully) goes on to stamp his name on our competition.
