  2. Bugger, I've only become nervous after reading this thread. Still reckon we will win comfortably, however. Go Melbourne!!
  3. Great work Scorps. This win reinforces my steadily building faith. Special thanks to the Demonland commentary team. Brilliant work guys.
  4. Fantastic work Scorps ......... and our great team of Demonland commentators!.
  5. When he builds a bigger tank will have a fair bit to do with it, I suspect. An injury-free pre season might be what's needed.
  6. Agree. James is gutsy, hard at the contest, has fair pace, is good overhead for his size, can kick a goal and will never die wondering. He's only played a hand-full of games, so he just needs to continue learning as he gets games under his belt, and add consistency to his repertoire, and he will become a solid 'B Grader'. All teams need players if his ilk.
  7. That's my recollection also. Fairly certain he came straight into the Melbourne seniors at the start of last year, and has played all his games at that level.
  8. That's a strong and experienced Hawks team. A win will set Casey's season up really well, and speak volumes about Melbourne's depth.
  9. .......................... and Jayden Hunt has extended too! Another excellent signature to have imo. Can't help but love the bond that the youngsters seem to have with their team-mates and the Club.
  10. Clarry is a 'young gun' with 'future star' written all over him. I'm thrilled that he wants to be part of our future, and rapt that our FD got on the front foot to secure him longer term.
  11. I generally like what you write Peter, but I have to disagree with this prediction. If we have an off week, we will still win by 30.
  12. I'm not unhappy with Salo's omission. He's probably disappointed so far this season, and we need to honour the commitment to reward players who perform consistently well at Casey. Strong message for Salo (and his team-mates as well) but he'll be back, and undoubtedly be a better player for the experience. This is the new Melbourne, and I'm thrilled that we've reached this position in our evolution.
  13. An emphatic no from me! We will do exactly what we should do to an inferior opposition.
  14. If Trengove's body holds up to the rigors of VFL / AFL this season, he will be a Demon in 2017.
  15. Tell her that she needs to get a life and read it too!
  16. I'm not qualified in this area, but it seems to me to be the most sensible and appropriate decision, and quality player management by the MFC.
  17. It's a worse than horrid disease! Good luck Roughy!
  18. 6. Jetta 5. Tyson 4. Viney 3. kennedy 2. Stretch 1. McDonald
  19. Nice article. Spot on with the facts and adjectives. So glad Clarry is ours!
  20. Me too! By 2:00pm on Sunday, I expect to be so nervous I could have a colonoscopy without the pre-med
  21. Looks like Clubs (including ours) will be in a better position to start serious consideration of potential pay offers around the end of July: Players' CBA possible by end of July: AFL
  22. Crucial game for us ........ worth more than just the 4 points if we can roll them. I think we are a chance at the G, but things will need to go right. The tactical battles around the stoppages will play an important part in the final result. Dees by 15 pts, but the margin won't be much more than that all day. Go Melbourne!!
  23. Hogan is having a few days back with his family in WA. Nothing sinister, just part of our responsible management of the youngsters, according to Roosy.
  24. An opposition mid might get killed!
