So flogged that Tesco rejected it for its lasagne.

We are the champions - Queen
-
**Bump** Looks like some of these actions have been well and truly put in place. Training camp at the army barracks in Darwin, culling of the flaky types etc. We are on the upward curve. Finally!
-
Funny you should mention this as Taggerts body shape reminds me of a young Gary Ablett Snr in his early days.
-
Correct.
-
Correct on Riv. People are talking Stef Martin to Collingwood, which may be true but I think we will possibly see Gysberts in black and white next year.
-
This is what I am alluding to. It's not the trade table but FA will influence and create much more activity during the trade period.
-
Disagree. I think the trade period is coming into a new dimension and we will see much more activity with free agency now in play.
-
Toy would be a good acquisition too. I think he is still uncontracted?
-
Prestia & Caddy for pick 13 and a player that doesn't want to buy in to our new direction.......
-
More like a young Steven Stretch but with a bigger leap.

1. Jetta played a good game for Casey. 2. Jetta ran the game out well. 3. Jetta is from South W.A 4. Jetta fits into the game style that Neeld is trying to build. 5. It may be a bit premature to bring him back after one game back at Casey but what other cards do we hold? We don't exactly have a full house atm....

Very impressed with his come back game against Bendigo. He showed some real class in patches considering he had been out for so long. Well done pickles!!

You can also add 'could of' to the list.

I have noticed the same thing too. Have watched plenty of Brisbane games and it looks as though he intentionally tries to injure his opponents but makes every effort to make it look like he's playing the ball not the man. He is very good at it.

Chris Judd's chicken winging of Leigh Adams
DeeMfc replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
This! It is proven that he is a sniper of the highest order and shouldn't be held in as higher esteem as he is. His brownlow medals should be handed back as he certainly has been the best in the past although the award's specific criterion is "fairest and best", reflecting an emphasis on sportsmanship and fair play. -
We all need to collectively take a deep breath. Neeld is not playing to lose, but he is certainly not playing to 'win at all costs' either. He is sorting the wheat from the chaff at the moment and to do that you have to make strategic decisions that may not have the best outcome/s on game day. This is the hard road that will eventually (hopefully) be the basis of a team that will not just challenge for the finals but the ultimate piece of silverware that we all desire. The question needs to be asked - Do you want the club to seriously challenge for the flag? Or do you want a middling team that has no chance for the ultimate prize? I'll take the first option every time thanks! Scrutinise Neeld & Co. all you like but please wait until at least next year to do it.

Like this! [media=] Good pick up. These things happen when you try to type at 100mph.

Wrong and wrong. Brisbane always believed Clark was a ruckman who could pinch hit forward. It was Neeld and co. who thought he was more suited to a forward role. If you look at the youtube clips you might change your thoughts on West as a pinch hitting forward. He has the goods to compliment Clark perfectly.
-
I put this in the pay it forward thread but believe it deserves a thread of its own. I believe Trent West is a forward playing as a ruckman - just as Mitch Clark was at Brisbane. IMO he would compliment Clark better than Cloke and probably around half the price too. Also the perfect age profile for us. I believe that the power forward of the future will need more strings to his bow ala Clark & West. Good in an arial contest, good at ground level and agility etc. Power forward 'lumps' like Dawes etc will be too one dimensional for the game as it evolves. I also believe he is OOC with Geelong and non committal regarding another contract. [media=]

I was going to start a new thread but this fits in the thread perfectly. As would this player in our forward line. I believe Trent West is a forward playing as a ruckman - just as Mitch Clark was at Brisbane. IMO he would compliment Clark better than Cloke and probably around half the price too. Also the perfect age profile for us.

Exactly. Neeld has instructed him to play a purely defensive role this season. Relax. The kid can play and will be more offensive in due course. He will be a top 5 player for us going forward IMO.

We need to shake our 'soft' tag. This is the way to do it until we are able to compete skills wise with the top teams. Then we can pull back to being smartarse aggressive.

Dion Prestia to Melbourne. Oh wait..........that hasn't happened YET!

Been saying this since the Bailey days! According to the article on the mfc website he is relishing it and hopes he can stay there.
