  1. Yep. Makes me sick in the gut. Again........ When will this club be strong and united again????? Maybe we do need complete outside help. But we do need strong, passionate Demon supporting leaders at this club somewhere..... and they need to support Jacksons 'clean up'.
  2. Agree bb59 just thought it interesting is all. 'Possibly', it might say something about how united they are or are not about the Jackson (AFL) way? I thought (and still think) Jackson is quite neutral but who really knows the AFL's agenda?
  3. This ^ Like Jarka says, not particularly sold on Stockdale but the point he makes is correct. Interesting that Neitz is behind the stockdale move....
  4. Just what I was thinking! This is purely left field thought but Matthews would bring a similarly high profile angle to the club as Roos. Although I don't think he and Mitch Clark see Eye to eye...
  5. I meant an experienced smokey... Matthews etc. Something outside the box.
  6. I would be content with any of Craig, Roos, Eade or Choco. Having said that, do you think there could be a smokey?
  7. Agree Eade did a great job with what was at hand. Although IMO Craig also did a great job. Equally deserving as far as I'm concerned. Williams has the X factor but am reserved as to whether he would be the correct 'fit'. Maybe he is just what we need?? Maybe not??
  8. Anything could happen but I would think probably not. Craig is stabilising the place and I don't see Jackson as a person who would hire in haste. Anything could happen between now and Sept/Oct.
  9. Yep, that PEP talk certainly can make the TIDE turn
  10. Yes indeed bb59!! I was actually looking to see if Craig and Burns had crossed paths before as they are both from SA and this thread popped up. Always interesting, and most times amusing reading with hindsight!
  11. Rubbish. You are wrong on so many levels..... The point in 'reality' is.... 1 win from 4 games of which 2 were against Geelong and Sydney...... do you expect the man to perform the impossible after the mental crap the team has been through this year and last. It's going to take time to build their confidence again. The players already acknowledge that the tide is turning. Proven performer? Although Williams has a cup to his name neither he nor Eade is more or less a proven performer than Craig. Craig had them consistently performing with 2 preliminary, 2 eliminations and a semi final in that order. If not for injuries he could have more than 1 cup to his name as Adelaide coach. He was also credited with helping devise the fitness regime which led to the crows back to back premierships in 97-98 as fitness adviser and assistant coach. Any 3 of those candidates I would be happy with but your attitude towards and knowledge of Craig in misunderstood at best.
  12. Obviously my bump was misunderstood!!!!! I was talking Craig stays on as coach with Burns the assistant and heir apparent. This was my first sentence - quote -" Interesting twists! Although maybe Craig stays on as coach with the baton being passed to Burns when he is ready." Or do I take it everybody assumes Craig won't get the gig?
  13. *Bump* Interesting twists! Although maybe Craig stays on as coach with the baton being passed to Burns when he is ready. With the way things are playing out over in the west if Burns gets overlooked for the gig at the Weagles this scenario could play out. Burns is highly respected and is apparently big on culture and connecting with the players. There is an existing connection as Burns was also coached by Craig at Norwood in the SANFL before he was recruited to the filth.
  14. Sorry Redleg should have mentioned that the Pearce Hanley paragraph is a whisper I heard. Kennelly has been in Melbourne though may not even be related to anything MFC.
  15. Roos is at the least contemplating the idea. Tahdg Kennelly in Melbourne over the last few days..... Assistant role perhaps? Pearce Hanley holding out on contract talks with Brisbane as the above are keen on a trade to Melbourne if the pieces fall into place. Although Brisbane are applying pressure to re-sign soon. Fanciful? Maybe.......
  16. Yep. That horse had bolted long ago....
  17. Neil Craig should just show them a highlights reel of the thumping we gave them in 2010 and tell them to get out there and do it again!!! Go Dees!!!
  18. The problem NC will have is if we win a few games against top sides and he puts his hand up Roos might put his hand up too thinking the list is better than he first thought. (Which it is). If this situation was to arise who would we opt to go with? Personally I think Craig will be better for the experience second time around. If this scenario was to play out I'd prefer Neil Craig.
  19. Thats a more balanced appraisal. Certainly not in line with your earlier post above... FWIW I agree with you that he may not make it in the long run. Just saying give the kid a chance to prove his worth in a season that's been a train wreck anyway.
  20. It's completely relevant. Regardless of the fact that he didn't have him the whole game and Griffen is playing brownlow medal quality footy this year you still can't give 'a little' credit where it's due... BTW. I love the way you pick and choose snippets of posts to distort what people are saying.
  21. Agreed. Just trying to put a bit of perspective to the Nicho vs Griffen debate.
  22. Ahhh yer good one..... Do you agree with the rest of my last post?
  23. You may be right but you are 'still' failing to take into consideration the difference in experience, height, weight etc. It was not the correct match up to begin with and Nicho did well all things considered. I reckon this was a test by NC to see how he went on a bigger, stronger more experienced opponent. Dunn would have been a more ideal match up on Griffen and Nicho would have done a better job on Liberatore who was clearly best on ground.
  24. Beat him maybe... Smashed him wrong. Look, all I'm saying is give 'the kid' a bit of credit where it is due.
  25. Wasn't missed at all. Which makes my point of "To add to this he gave away 5cm in height, 7kg in weight and 146 games in experience. On this game he a least deserves a bit of credit." even more relevant. Which you conveniently left out.... Did you know that for the first quarter Sylvia took Griffen at all the centre bounces?
