  1. This kid is uncannily like a young Dustin Fletcher. Except .......a much better kick. He along with Lever will create a wall and carve the opposition up on the rebound. Inspired drafting and a steal at this pick in my opinion.
  2. http://m.afc.com.au/news/2014-11-26/recruiting-files-walker Take a look at the ‘circumstances’ in which Walker got to his beloved Crows.... Hypocrite of the highest order. No other team had the chance to draft him and if they did he’d be the first to request a trade to Adelaide if he had the chance. Plus the fact that there’d be no go home factor to Broken Hill anyway....
  3. He's had a couple of lean years but the start of his career hasn't been an easy ride. A good preseason to clear the pipes will have him running on all cylinders. Only then will we be able to see if he regularly gets leather poisoning.

If our mids aren't lowering their eyes when delivering inside forward 50 then put TMac back to take the big forwards and slot Joel Smith in at full forward.
  5. 3. Josh Kelly 2. Jake Lever 1. Zak Jones *Some seem to already have them on our current list...
  6. Let's get this thread pumping. Paging Grand New Flag - any intel?

I think it's actually a real photo taken of him. He lives down Weribee way I believe..
  8. Melksham is seriously underrated. Great skills on both sides of the body. Certainly doesn't lack pace (check the chase down tackle in this clip) He will thrive under Goody and is EXACTLY what we need off half back. We will be a 2-3 goal better team with him in it. Hibberd on the other flank and we have 2 goal kicking half backs.
  9. Whichever way one looks at it there is no escape for young Rhys. He has openly stated numerous times that he 'models his game on Joel Selwoods'.....
  10. Yep, perfect week to allow it.
  11. Well, he'll have certainly been tested in the space of less than a week this week then. Melb to GC GC to Melb Melb to Perth Perth to Melb
  12. Precisely my point.
  13. Sorry! Couldn't help myself. An old Demonland favourite.... I guess Jesse does have the advantage of not being the dreaded 192cm.
  14. Curry. You are creating an argument over something someone believes will happen. If someone is religious and 100% believes in God does this mean there actually is one?
  15. Relax. We've got this...
  16. Agreed. Hence the edit for accuracy.
  17. Compare him to any of the past champions at the same stage of their careers. Having said that I have edited for accuracy.
  18. The 'kid' is already a champion (In the making). But the main point is that he is still young and maturing. He is a competitive beast that doesn't like losing and until he matures in time we will see him wearing his heart on his sleeve. He is not above learning the things required of him in all aspects of the game but this too will come in good time. Just sit back, relax and watch the kid grow and mature into one of the best players we will see in our lifetime.
  19. This^ I agree that although Oliver has impressed a tiny bit better so far we have to take into consideration the team he has around him compared to the team Trengove did which we have the benefit of hindsight with. I really hope Trengove can pick up from where he was pre injury.
  20. The full package. Hard as nails and oozes class. Will age like Grange Hermitage. A very rare commodity.
  21. So does that make Jordie a 'Clayton's Clayton'?
  22. Regardless of contract machinations lets just enjoy THIS year at the very least. Cheer loud and hard whenever he kicks a goal or takes an awesome pack mark. Let him enjoy playing for the mighty Dees. When I read posters saying they won't be able to enjoy it even if he is tearing the opposition a new one it seriously makes me cringe. I would understand if he were out of contract this year but he isn't. As has been pointed out relentlessly on this thread, there are a multitude of reasons why Jesse shouldn't sign until October at the very least. Marquee players especially. Any young marquee players who have signed since the end of last season are either stupid, had a brown paper back passed under the table or their manager isn't doing his due diligence. So for this year at least just relax and enjoy the Jesse show :-)
  23. ....and have a good lie down.
