  1. Campbell Brown is a sniper of the highest order. That kick to Strauss' face was definitely deliberate and it broke his nose. He got away with it and they scored a goal. Then later he ducked AND charged his head under Davis' arm, got the free and the result....... Drum roll......another goal.
  2. I know Trengove has not played like his first year but he has proven he has got it in him. He has shown some 'glimpses' of his ability again recently. I for one am not worried. We supporters aren't the only ones that want this season to be over. Some will be pleasantly surprised with young Jack in 2014 IMO.
  3. Exactly. In cases such as this it's clear that the Crows lied about the extent of the injury. Therefore the flaw in the process is that if the length of suspension is dictated by the injury then the injured individual should be mandatorily out for at least half of the player suspended. This would at least limit the amount to which a player/club could or would exaggerate the injury for fear of missing games.
  4. I have heard from a good source that Jack is holding out because he is disappointed that, although he has improved and is showing glimpses of being a future star of the game he still hasn't made it onto the Demonland banner.

    GAME DAY

I have it on good authority that this is part of the game plan. Getting North into a comfortable lull and then steamrolling them in the last quarter. 'Relax we've got this' I'm feeling sick....
  6. I stand corrected. You are right dd36. I believe that we were one of the several clubs enquiring about putting him on the permission to train list but he went to Richmond. Luckily!!!
  7. Agree. Offensively he would be quite damaging. For so long we have complained about delivery to our forwards. Strauss certainly would be a piece of that puzzle.
  8. Nail-On-Head
  9. Yes, Jimmy Toumpas had an absolute stinker and was subbed out. But what I find most astonishing is that people are dismissing the FACT that the week before he had 20 possies and 7 tackles against the best team in the land, on their turf and in dismal conditions. Oh and by the way Wines had 8 possies against a far less superior opposition and in far better conditions. These boys are still kids!!!!!! They will be up and down until they mature. Although Wines is already a boy in a mans body. Jimmy had no preseason. At least let him get a full preseason in before making any judgment/predictions on him.
  10. He did dd36. But we chose not to pick him up. I think he went to the tigers?
  11. He can certainly play. But he won't be there for a rookie selection. IMO the doggies will take him with their round 2 or 3 selection.
  12. Nobody is surprised, it just seems her hypocrisy has gone to the next level. Again.... Not many levels left I'd guess...
  13. I agree. That's why I put it out there. The only enjoyment I ever got out of the show was when Grant Thomas made CW look and sound like a goose. Completely shut her down 90% of the time.
  14. A no from me for senior coach. But he is renowned as a great tactition. He would slot straight in as midfield coach.
  15. Garry, Hutchy. If you're reading this..... It's time to pull her up on this on Footy Classifieds. Do it for the fans of all clubs!!!
  16. Good point. Though If we pick up 1 game and St Kilda don't win any we'll still remain below them as we will never catch them on percentage.Having said that a winning culture comes first, one player doesn't make a 'team'. Win at all costs from here on in.
  17. Some of his passages of play remind me of a young Robbie Flower. He has to be a lock at pick 2 you would think?
  18. Taking Aish & Battersby would mean that the James' would overtake the Jacks at the club! Frawley, Strauss, Sellar, Magner, Aish & Battersby.
  19. He is a natural footballer. Reads the play beautifully. And knows what's going on around him before deciding what to do. Still the question is 'can he become a true mid?' I see him developing like a Luke Hodge.
  20. True. But fwiw he is probably the closest to becoming the Ollie Wines type you were asking for in the other thread.Depends on his ability to move laterally and his evasiveness as far as developing into a true mid. Seems pretty quick so speed shouldn't be an issue.
  21. Roos knows what's there already. Agree that we need to be competitive and show what there is to work with though. Wins won't make a difference, in fact the most important factor IMO is what the Afl provide in assistance.
  22. Yep! Confucius say....
  23. Looking forward to seeing Viney and Toumpas team up. First senior game played together I think?
  24. I think Roos would be good for culture but does his and Lyons game plan suit our list? TBH I would prefer Eade, Choco or Craig. These 3 still have a burning desire to get to (or back to) the pinnacle. Eade was the last on the list of 3 for me originally, but after reading the link below I actually think he would be the perfect fit for us list wise and in most aspects of the coaching role. http://m.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/rodney-eade-is-the-best-man-for-the-demons-coaching-job/story-fni5f91a-1226681209042
  25. It's also been a breathe of fresh air since Jackson was appointed. Things finally being done professionally! We do however have to have strong people at the club that keep Jackson and the AFL at least slightly accountable and making decisions that are 'in the best possible interests of the MFC' first and foremost.
