  1. Hi Srjennings Think of the biggest [censored] you have ever met, heard of or watched on youtube then times that by 1000 and you have a quarter of Greg Denham. Just change to another station if he's on.
  2. Correct. The other two are mainly grunt. Tyson is skill 'with' grunt. 186cm tall as well IIRC. A pattern is forming and I like the picture it is painting!
  3. It has a Scottish origin then later the French softened it somewhat. If it's the French version then it is pronounced 'Mishee'. If it's the original Scottish version then it's pronounced 'Mee-ch-ee' with the 'ch' sounding like a drawn 'k' as in Loch Ness.
  4. If its this then I would say its a win for us! Fingers crossed.
  5. Better be a first rounder thrown in if its Tyson and a pick. I actually rate Tyson quite highly though.
  6. I would have to agree. It's probably my fault for putting out a 'hypothetical' in the other thread. Mention a 'slightly' potential scenario on this forum and people take it as gospel....
  7. Don't think it would happen but I agree with your sentiment. The fact that he hasn't nominated a preferred club is what makes it interesting.Although I would go even harder to get both Adams and Buntine for 2 and a sweetener if required.
  8. Agree.Roos main goal next season is most likely to do everything possible to get both on and off field respect back. Also trying to win as many games as possible (8-10+). If he achieves this there will be no shortage of applicants. I actually like the idea of Roos solely coaching the team for the first season without the distractions of a succession plan.
  9. I agree.Although it is a little unusual (and interesting) that Adams hasn't nominated a preferred club yet...
  10. Nah not paranoid at all machsy. Just over exaggerating my response. Like you did... It's all good
  11. Sorry machsy but you've got it wrong there. I don't suffer from the above or any form of mfcss. I'm level headed and see things as they are. Thanks for the assumption though..... I'll give you one simple (just for you) example. Brian Lake has 1-2 years left at best. Buddy Franklin's departure leaves heaps of cap space for the next two years. (Stay with me machsy, focus!) Lake retires. Frawley out of contract and is offered overs because he can do what Lake just did last month for the Hawks and get a medallion (or two) to boot. You would have to be a goose if you think that 'one' example is not reasonably likely. Don't be late for school...
  12. I can't help but think there is bigger things happening with Frawley..... If he does end up as part of a mega trade I hope we don't get shafted. If he doesn't get traded we'll know his further intentions soon enough if he mutters the words 'I'll make my decision at the end of the season'.
  13. The Fletch! Very underrated. Would be a great get as midfield coach and I believe he gets on pretty well with Redden and Rockliff... But that's for another thread.
  14. http://www.crownperth.com.au/casino There ya go Col. Don't forget your beanie... In all seriousness though, this can go one of two ways. Lyon finally extracts the undoubted talent Sylvia has, or Sylvia frequents Northbridge and hits the Casino on Friday & Saturday nights.... Only time will tell... Good luck Col.
  15. That is why I said it is of little consequence. I had S.Fox too. Her being a lesbian would have been of little consequence too incidentally.
  16. Probably with a ten year option. I used to like the Swans.....
  17. Agree. Although I would be ecstatic with a late first rounder. It would put us in an ideal position with regards to trading options.
  18. I wish him well if he leaves. This would be a chance for the AFL to give us slight overs for our compensation pick. (Considering we didn't get a PP)
  19. Reading between the lines (Mahoney interview) it seems like we may be entertaining giving up our first and second round picks for two players. Either from one team or two different teams. Plus possibly some later picks in return. If we were to give up our first two picks to one team for two players which of these scenarios would suit us more? Gold Coast - Prestia and Swallow + swaps of later picks. (Prestia just re signed before the Roos appointment but was rumoured to have been wanting to return to Melbourne earlier in the season) Or West Coast - Gaff and Shuey + swaps of later picks Or simply straight swaps with picks (I know it is of little consequence these days but all of Prestia, Gaff and Shuey followed the Dees as kids.)
  20. Freo by 27 pts Norm Smith - Hayden Ballantyne
  21. It looks like all smoke and mirrors re the successor. Looks like there is a high chance it will be someone from either Freo or the Hawks. My 'guess' is that it's probably Simpson.
  22. You are wrong on so many levels it defies normality...If you believe in Roos ability so much (as we all do) then why don't you trust this appointment? I've never used the abbreviation 'NFI' before but seriously mate it must be tattooed on your forehead... You are starting to sound like 'freak'...... Don't worry though Miller was 194cm IIRC...
  23. Garbage... Gee thanks. Failing someone or something is because you didn't put in the required effort or heart. Personal results have nothing to do with failing the club. Miller gave 100%. 100% of the time. Miller was no star but he did not fail the club. Results have no bearing on failing the club. Failing to live up to expectations is a completely different story. What was Miller drafted at anyway? I know it was later in the draft. For the above post I give you 2 FAILS 1. For not understanding what you wrote yourself. 2. For thinking that playing results have anything at all to do with leadership and coaching ability. Now step back before you make even more of a fool of yourself..... For the record I'm neutral on this appointment. WAClarks post above explains it in the correct light.
  24. Firstly Miller never failed the MFC. He was highly professional with his training standards and effort. 120 goals in 157 games is not a bad return for a player who spent plenty of time up the ground and in defence. Add this to the fact that in his last few years we were accused of not trying to kick goals........ Failing the club means he didn't put in 100% effort and this does not describe Miller. If anything, what hindsight has taught us is that the club has in fact failed some of our recruits. Thank god Roos and co. are here to change this.
  25. I remember reading somewhere Roos stating that we need "defensive skilled (gut running) midfielders with a good turn of speed". I am assuming by good turn of speed he means quick off the mark. Does this narrow down the candidates?
