Problem is there that he is already on a modified program until xmas, so a full pre season is out of the question. The thing with Cale is that he is really a well liked, popular memeber of the team, bit of a leader amongst the young blokes, it should not be lost that he has some character, a constant whipping boy of the club, but not once have you seen or heard anything negative from him. I for one kind of hoped that he got the oppurtunity to prove alot of people wrong. SOrt of a soft spot for him.

Just like players worth gets inflated when trying to trade them, so does a players worth when arguing to keep him on the list.. Gysberts was a shock pick 11 when we selected him, but has obviously got football talents.. 2 years on the list now, we have seen no where near enough of them.. for whatever reason he has not been able to cement a spot.. There is only a 3 maybe 4 in the top 10 of the 2009 draft that have really delivered already on their potential.. IMHO.. i think he deserves one more year.. get body / attitude right have a crack.. if it does not work out then so be it..

It has to be someone with pace. I firmly beleive that our biggest problem is that our midfield is one paced Bate / jones / moloney / trengove / sylvia / magner / all the same. we need burst players, Sewell is not aburst player.

I believe Brett Lovett will be appointed very soon as Casey's coach. A great appointment and this will be confirmed in the coming days which leaves only one position of any importance to be announced. Football director role which i still think Greg Healy is the frontrunner.

on the Draw - NAB CUP fixture out today. We have the Lions and The Suns firts up. With the different format this year we play 4 matches, some local, some regional, some interstate. at least 2 of these game will be broadcast on Fox Sports, so at least we will see some action this year!!
