  1. Assuming we will delist four players, I would think that Miller, Bell, Newton and one other would go. I can't imagine that Paul Johnson would be shafted just yet, and if the rumours of Cameron Bruce going to the Suns is BS, then McDonald might be that last player. I doubt he'd go around again if he didn't think he'd make it. But we have seen Brett Kirk play for one year too many, so I guess it's possible that Junior may, too. Let's just see how he goes next week.
  2. Melbourne plays the 'G very well. I would rate us a better chance to beat Richmond there than Adelaide is - and the Crows led by 20 points at half-time. We're certainly a very good chance to beat the Tigers next week, and then from there, who knows? Results have certainly gone our way this week.
  3. We kicked twenty-some goals last week. There's still room for improvement, but it's not as bad as it seems.
  4. Er, because the AFL likes inconsistency. It's part of the brand.
  5. I agree. I think when he gets it, he's still thinking "oh, [censored]! I'm in the AFL." Consequently, he has to think about things he's done naturally for years. When he becomes more confident and relaxed, everything will just flow and those errors we see from time to time will become less frequent.
  6. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Colin Sylvia has more talent in that pustule they removed from his big toe than 90% of people to ever play the game. I'm sensing something big from Colin in his hundredth. I hope he makes his mother proud.
  7. Some of his handpasses and some of his kicks are sublime, but some almost miss the foot or hand completely. I would guess that almost all of these errors are as a result of having someone up his clacker or having just run a marathon to get the ball as it trickles its' way towards a boundary line or a wing.
  8. Lasagna, cheesecake, holy fruitcake, it's raining food here at Demonland. For the record, I have us finishing in 7th and playing Hawthorn in week one of the finals. It'll be interesting to see how we go against them in a couple of weeks, given what we dished up in Round One compared to where we are now.
  9. 6 - Sylvia (more talent in his diseased big toe than most players to ever play the game) 5 - Macdonald (yeah, that reject from the Lions) 4 - Garland (Fletcher Mach 2 - or three if you count Dustin's dad) 3 - McKenzie (have my babies, please. PS I'm male. Does that matter?) 2 - Dunn (brilliant work without the ball, and kicked some rippers from outside 50) 1 - Green (champion of our club, star of the game, Captain, My Captain)
  10. Sylvia - YM Was Right Jurrah - Oceanic Flight 815 Garland - Career best game Watts - No forward (yet) McKenzie - Pure contested genius Macdonald - Bad move Voss Fevola - Worse move Voss Dunn - Three killer goals.
  11. I've got to say, Colin Sylvia has more talent in that little pustule they removed from his big toe than 90% of people who have ever played the game. What a star he could be.
  12. Bah! Give me a dynamic, pressure set-up any day. That's where it's at. EDIT: Let's not forget we're on the road, with a draw up our sleeves, needing to win three or more out of the next five. How much we win by is irrelevant, IMO. DOUBLE EDIT: Colin Sylvia, AKA "The one thing Yze_Magic was ever right about."
  13. Colin Garland is amazing. The niggling body work and round the side/over the shoulder spoils he gets away with is incredible. He is either incredibly up-to-date with what the umpires allow, or is very lucky. Fletcher-like in his way, and I've noticed he gets some rough treatment from his opponents (two punches in the guts a few months ago and a "I think I'll use your face to help me up" from Fev tonight. He's been really good, as has the "dud" Brisbane defender we snagged for nothing.
  14. That white uniform just fills me with pride dismay.
  15. I'm so unbelievably pumped for this game. This could be the real defining moment of our young team's season. We could really show what we're made of tonight. We may not, but even then, it'll be good to see who can play well after a week of tire-pumping on media street.
  16. Huh? Pardon my stupidity, but what are you talking about EDIT: Oh, your mum . . .
  17. Could you show us the finished product when it's done?
  18. I love how we played him off the bench last week. It really seemed to make a difference.

Don't worry. Over the next ten years, I think it's going to become more and more "cool" for a kid to barrack for the Demons, and it's at that level that real and lasting increase in supporter numbers come. Those kids eventually become mothers and fathers with children of their own, and the cycle continues.
  20. Not a fan, [censored]? If he gets his mind right, Daniel Wells could be a top tier player. But I don't think we should trade for him, though.
  21. Good on Wonna for earing his spot in the team after being an emergency. With the rumours of Jack Watts' sore quad, I wouldn't be surprised to see him replaced in the selected team by Trengove.
  22. Who won this one again? I can't quite remember.
