  1. I thought about that too, but who would he replace?
  2. 6 Green - Great second half 5 Davey - Creative ball use 4 Gysberts - Great debut, good defensive pressure 3 Jones - Played a good game on Ablett, and his disposal resulted in a few f50 marks 2 Bartram - Excellent defensive game on Chapman, who usually tears us a new one 1 Wonaeamirri - Good defensive pressure in the forward-line, and will be better for the game he played today.
  3. OUT: Bruce (omitted), Garland (inj), Rivers (omitted), Macdonald (Omitted) INS: Scully, Trengove, Bate, McKenzie Carlton have a small forward-line, so we will need to change our defensive structure a little in order to counteract the pace of their forwards. Scully and Trengove pick themselves, Bate is a marking forward who can play on the wing, and McKenzie's toughness and tackling are really important for us.
  4. So Wona managed to stay in? I watched the replay and although he was lacking in fitness, he certainly hasn't lost his touch from what I saw. I'm hoping he's fitter for the run he had last week and can show us all what he's made of. Perhaps we'll even see a frog's leap.

    Beamer

    Very nice article.
  6. If you have Foxtel, it's also on NITV.
  7. There's no-one called Tomjack Scullgove either.
  8. Tomjack Scullgove will be the best AFL player evah!!!! Too bad we had to give up two picks and tank for two years straight in order to get him.
  9. Perhaps, but leaders are not undisciplined or lazy. Brad Miller shows his team-mates that discipline and hard work are virtues, so as long as he performs adequately on the field, his ability to set a good example cannot be underestimated. He may not be here when we win a Premiership, but then again, neither will James McDonald. Perhaps even Dean Bailey will be gone. Their legacy will exist solely in the things they've taught those who are still here. Don't underestimate that.
  10. Mark Jamar would eat nails for breakfast and ask for seconds. He does not get tired. In Russia, ruckman rests you. I wouldn't worry.
  11. It's true, though. Not doing the team thing can win you a game, but following instructions will win more over the journey - and not just games, but respect, admiration and loyalty.
  12. Clearly I intended to bring him in or I wouldn't have mentioned him at all. I'm not sure who else to drop though. I wouldn't bring in Bruce, but we can't fool ourselves that the FD would leave him out. I guess that there'll be someone who doesn't pull up well from the game, and that'll be the person who misses. I'm with you re Warnock. I think he's mega important and wouldn't think twice about bringing him in next week. I just forgot to include him in our INS. I hope the FD don't make the same mistake.
  13. OUT: Wonaeamirri (not match-fit), Macdonald (Warnock is better than him) IN: Bate, Bruce
  14. Of course re Jones, but even his brainfarts are a part of him doing what the coaches want - play on at all costs.
  15. That'll be quite a feat considering you can only be nominated once.
  16. Who? Davey? Jetta? Better than Franklin, Goodes, Bateman, Ryder, and all the rest?
  17. Good question. I think he will go, simply because you're not allowed to hip and shoulder a guy with his head over the ball. If he doesn't, it'll be because he didn't make too much head-high contact.
  18. 6. Jetta 5. Jamar 4. Davey 3. Bennell 2. Green 1. Miller
  19. Sylvia - Not a ruckman Wonaeamirri - Run some laps Jones - Calm down please
  20. How stuffed did Jamar look after the game? What an effort to win the way we did. Let's not forget that Port smashed us at the end of every quarter. They made us play poorly in the last as much as we stopped running.
  21. Benny and the Jet take advantage of a Chad Cornes non-spoil. What a dunce is Cornes.
  22. Has Brad Miller EVER kicked 5 goals for us before?
  23. Aussie on his way to proving us wrong. Kicks a ripper from the 50.
