Not you, I guess...

There's no danger of that. Mine runs on despair, and so it has an almost unlimited supply of fuel. Seven years worth to be precise.
-
My point is that it would be silly to use the Dogs performance today to discredit or cheapen our win last week.
-
The dogs sucked today though. Plus, our shitty midfield means that any team with a half-decent set of mids is a very good chance of beating us no matter what the rest of their team looks like.
-
Jesus bloody Christ! I hope I'm wrong about this one. What a thread this was.

The AFL is about as socialist as the UK, Canada or Australia. While everything pretty much revolves around money in these countries (and in the AFL), if you're in a bad situation you're not totally screwed because you can still get some support if you ask for it.

I think history will show that Mark Neeld was a bit of this: People won't realise it (and they definitely won't like him), but I still maintain that he was good for the club. Neil Craig has said as much, though perhaps Neeld will leave a far better legacy as a departed coach than he ever would have had he stayed on.

I thought this was some form of sperm farming project, where we try to put together a harem of amazon women and lock him in a room with them for the next ten years. -
YES YES YES! [censored] or not, he is a fantastic running defender. Our backline is chockers with excellent one-on-one players. The very last piece of the puzzle there is someone who can set up our attacks. Garland, Frawley, Terlich O'Brian, McDonald, Grimes Best backline in the league, to go with the best forward line in the comp. If only we had a good midfield, we could be premiership contenders NEXT YEAR!!!

Here's the preview for those who haven't seen it. Very interesting.

It's almost at the point where if getting a new coach (ie Paul Roos) would mean losing Neil Craig, the loss would outweigh any potential benefit gained by hiring the new coach. It's Craig all the way for me, unless we can keep him around AND get Paul Roos. Talk about a dream team. There's no chance of the players not liking those two coaches, both of whom have shown they know a bit about footy too.
-
I believe Shane Mumford is out injured with a bum face.
-
Chris Dawes, Mitch Clark, Matt Jones, Dean Terlich.
-
His face always looks like that after physical exercise.
-
That is a DAMN good backline. Add it to the rest of the team and you get this: B: Garland Frawley Terlich HB: Grimes McDonald Clisby C: Howe N Jones Trengove HF: Watts Dawes Sylvia F: Hogan Clark Kent FOL: Gawn Viney M Jones INT: Evans Toumpas Rodan Davey Come on. Surely that's a good Melbourne side at last. And all of those players are on our list right now. No need for draft picks or white knights.

A footy player?

vs See the difference? Jack Watts is great and all, but he was by no means ready-made.

"There's a strong argument," Gil McLachlan on a Priority Pick.

About guys like McKenzie, can I ask the obvious question? If they work so damn hard, why do they always have shitty skills? I mean, you'd think that their work ethic might mean they'd practice a lot on their kicking and stuff, but it never seems like they do. I can see some people not being tall or strong or whatever, but there's no gene for kicking the ball well. So what's the deal?
-
And Clark. Don't forget Clark. Super, man.

Thank god.

If any player goes down five minutes in, his team is unlikely to win anyway; so we're not really losing anything by playing two underdone players. Three underdone players means forcing one of them to play an entire game, but two underdone players is fine if you ask me.

If Jack Viney is fit, we should consider bringing him in too. He deserves some sort of game time.
