You both need to take a couple of physics classes.

Plopping? Is that seriously what the kids are calling it these days, because it sounds like something you might do on the toilet not in a bed.

This video is comedy central. The great Mick Malthouse has been reduced to advertising sausage sizzles because his team sucks a big one out on the field.

The gnome?

Apparently there is a player at Casey who is not on our list and therefore cannot play for us. I've heard he might be good, but since he's not a Melbourne player yet I haven't looked into it too much. I suggest everyone else do the same.

He said "If you asked me 'am I interested in coaching,' I'd say 'No.' But I can only answer for right now. If you ask me that question tomorrow, next month or next year, my answer might be different."

There was also a possible free kick where a Sydney player bounced the ball but fumbled the pick up because he was being pursued by Jimmy Toumpas. When he finally got control of the ball, he was under what one might describe as "the very beginnings of a tackle." I would argue that under the strictest interpretation of the holding the ball rule, it should have been payed (just as Jack Watts' was). It did cost us a goal too.

This thread is proof that Andy Kaufman is not dead.

He's bad at sex?

So in your world, a few injections can make a bone mend 4 weeks quicker? Please!

It was so obvious to anyone who watches Casey games that Fitzpatrick's apparent spudness at AFL level was down to his nerves. I for one am not surprised to see what he's currently doing in the big leagues now that his hands don't shake so violently that he can't mark a footy.
-
You're joking right? Jack Watts can play basically anywhere from back pocket to the forward flank, and Fitzy and Hogan are both capable of holding down wing positions. Dawes is obviously the least versatile of them all, but when everyone else can play all sorts of positions I wouldn't worry too much about it - especially when you consider that the likelihood of everyone being fit at the same time is very very low.

That's a sexy lineup.

Yep. This is not a case of a simple mistake that could have theoretically been avoided if he was in the correct position or whatever. In this case he could NEVER have made the right decision because he actually DID NOT KNOW THE RULES OF THE GAME HE IS PAYED TO OFFICIATE OVER!!!

Rioli and a 2004/2005 Aaron Davey are the same person.

Colin Sylvia has lots of currency. Melbourne has been giving him plenty of it for the last ten years.

Weren't people bitching for the last 18 months about how poorly Mark Neeld treated his players? And now you're defending Nathan Buckley for singling out one of his players as a subject for derision and ego-boosting power games? WTF?
-
That's a really good point. If touching the ball to the ground counts as a bounce, then is it considered a bounce anytime the ball touches the ground when it's in your possession, or is it an elective thing?

The Clisby rule is obvious. It's just like if he had kicked it out on the full, but had put his foot over the the goalsquare line. The moment he does that, where the kick goes is irrelevant. The ball is bounced at the top of the goalsquare. The same principle applies here. Clisby cannot legally handball the ball before kicking it. The moment he handpasses it, the game is stopped and the ball is balled up. Where he handballed it is irrelevant because the game is stopped. It's so goddamn obvious that it's unbelievable the umpire got it wrong.

More like "signing the Neelded ones," amirite?

18 months. That way we can be sure that we'll actually honour the contract.

In his post-match interview, Jobe said the Bombers had been "ropa-doping" this past month. Not the best choice of words, I'd venture.

Jamar is effectively our ruck coach. Why would we trade him?
