A winning lead (W) equals 1 plus your current score (S1) plus the score you're going to kick (S2), minus your opponent's score (O1), minus the score your opponent is going to kick (O2). W = 1 + S1 + S2 - O1 - O2

He wants to win games of footy.
-
Forever or just for this year?
-
A few of them are going down the tanking/priority pick route. The poor, sorry bastards!
-
I reckon he needs to be groomed as the much-needed crumber that will stand at the feet of the Dawes-Hogan-Watts-Clark-Howe quintuplet next year.
-
Jamar has his flaws, but he can at least ruck entire games. The other thing about Jamar is that he doesn't get beaten comprehensively by Minson-type ruckmen. Players like Ryder and Naitanui can jump all over him and render him useless, but more old-fashioned ruckmen typically get nullified by Jamar.

Fair enough. It's a legitimate theory, but I refuse to believe that a senior coach of any AFL team brought nothing to the table.
-
So is Neil Craig lying when he gives credit to the work put in by Mark Neeld?
-
That's beautiful, WYL. It's like a haiku. Collingwood morons, Wish they could take it all back. Bad luck you jerkbags.

A hen is female. A rooster is male. They're all chickens. And yes, I SHOULD know. And I do. Again, how 'bout those Dees?
-
That's either hilarious or very very embarrassing. EDIT: How 'bout those Dees, eh?
-
Bring back Mark Neeld as head recruiter!!! P.S. Yes I am joking.
-
Garrr!!! There is no difference. It's like knowing the difference between a rooster and a chicken!
-
Right, but they're also words. I can't stress that enough. It's really important. Like, way more important than the fact that we won tonight for the first time in what seems like forever. Forever...that's a noun too. But it's also a word. See? Simple.
-
You know how most weeks Melbourne players turn it over regularly coming out of defence, as if they're intentionally kicking to the other team's players? It was like that, except somehow it was the opposition doing it instead of us. I thought I was dreaming.
-
Long-sleeves works well with the Melbourne jumper. I like it. P.S. Dawes is good too.
-
Cool, but they're also words as well.
-
We won it because of our forward press. We got repeat inside 50s because the Dogs couldn't dispose of it going out of there defensive arc.
-
This guy is an out-and-out good footballer. His disposal is not that bad, and he constantly competes and gives lots of run. Underrated.
-
Nouns are words, genius.

Bloody oath. Not only was the free given to the incorrect team, it hit the bulldog's knee anyway; so the umpire got it wrong twice in the same free kick. Good going ump!
-
To me, that Jack Watts mark in the backline in the dying seconds kind of validates the time he spent down there over the past few years. To be able to do that as a forward (probably without having been instructed to do so) will be very handy in the coming years.
-
Good riddance.
-
LOL! Takes the game on, defends well, but as always will be dissed for his (admittedly shocking) errors. He isn't perfect, but as tonight has shown (when he TOOK US FORWARD numerous times) we could do worse than have him in our backline.

For all those who are somehow disappointed with this win (as opposed to bloody relieved), remember that just last week the greatest team of all time lost from pretty much the same position. Conclusion = Melbourne is now better than Geelong.
