As I remember it, Cordy did a J motion toward goal and then away from it. Frawley wasn't paying attention and didn't turn around quick enough, so he ended up just doing an I.

Frawley was frankly pathetic on Cordy when he allowed him to take that mark without even providing any body pressure. If it were anyone else who did it, they would be howled down all week on the Demonland forums.

There are about four or five players at the club who don't make me have a heart attack when they get the ball in their hands. Jack Watts, Aaron Davey, Colin Garland and Jimmy Toumpas are those players. The rest need to go to an Auskick session or two.

I reckon Jamar is a good enough ruck coach that we should keep him regardless of his onfield perormance.

People seriously don't give Jack Grimes enough credit as a captain. I really rate his leadership. Trengove, not so much; but Grimes is great.

That game was really embarrassing, but Gold Coast's midfield destroyed us that day - just as the Bulldogs' did in the last quarter last night. We are tailor-made to be beaten by the Suns at the moment, though of course the reality of losing to an expansion team is always beyond justification.

While I have always thought Jack Watts' playing style is uniquely "basketbally" (and therefore not subject to traditional football analysis), I do agree with Ben-Hur's criticisms of his physicality and desire. I think also that most of us agree that these mental problems have (and will continue to) limit Watts' effectiveness. Ben-Hur probably went overboard in his dismissal of Watts' ability to realise his potential as a player, but his points of criticism were (and continue to be) pretty valid if you ask me.

I'd bring him straight back in. He's been running for a few weeks, and would have been able to ride and walk through his whole lay-off period. His endurance is probably good enough to play 3 quarters. He is the captain after all. You don't just bring your captain through the VFL if you don't have to.

Straussy was quite good yesterday, as mentioned; I'd like to see him given another shot. But I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that James Magner is just not in the club's plans. I don't really get why, but there it is.

This is how I see it: if you expect to win, the worst you'll do is be competitive. If you expect to be competitive, the worst you'll do is be uncompetitive.

If you ask me, he and Lynden Dunn are playing for the same spot, but I'd rather Jack Grimes in there than either one of them. I hear he's coming back soon, so the clock is ticking for the both of them.
