  1. While I'm not complaining about Selwood winning it, (as he deserves it) would he have been so good if he played in a weaker side. Selwood is the icing on an exceptional Geelong midfield. Jones carried the can for us this year, and tried his guts out. I would've been so stoked had he won it. I guess 3rd is a fair result.
  2. Agree. From what I saw this year, Petterd would almost be a monty to be selected for round 1...(assuming he has a solid NAB Cup)
  3. 6 -TJ 5 - Robbo 4 - McLean 3 - Brown 2 - Dunn 1 - Bode
  4. Didn't we win one game that year
  5. Anyone notice that when we kicked all those goals in the first quarter, the Carlton cheer-squad were waving their flags.
  6. I'll personally tear down Junction Oval if TJ is traded.
  7. The trading of Bruce is a distinct possibility if the team song was something to go by. He looked really subdued and almost surly compared to the rest of the players. Is that a sign? Does he know something we don't? I hope the TJ bashers will settle down a little after last night. Would be the most ludicrous decision to trade that rare class. Robbo is turning 29 later this year, not 30. I really hope both parties can agree on 2 years. Players like him don't grow on trees, but 3 years is fraught with danger. *Thinks of Bizzell*
  8. Have to agree with most of those except Ellis and Vardy. Ellis was good for us in 2002, but copped a knee reco at the worst possible time (rd 20) and missed finals and most of 2003. Vardy was horribly injury prone, but I enjoyed some of his performances - particularly in the 2002 finals series. 5 goals V the Roos. The recruitment of Funcke, Moorcroft and Carter were laughable.
  9. That compensation better be bloody adequate. Not too many bloke with the skills of TJ. Top 10 draft pick or 2nd round pick plus established (out of favour player like Chris Hyde or Henry Playfair) or 3rd year player with future.
  10. HA HA! Had a laugh at that. Congratulations to Dean. Here's to a new era and hopefully Bailey can get the most out of our top shelf players ie - Bruce, Green, TJ etc...
  11. Learn from what? 10,000,000 x the tripe gets put on forums than what I typed.
  12. Just a couple of quick questions regarding Sunday Night's showpiece. Are you going? Yes Crowd? 21,334 Who will win? Melbourne by 26 Which camp are you in - Winning or tanking If Richmond win on the weekend, then Kruezer is on the table for both clubs, so I'd hope we'd lose. However if Richmond lose (more likely) then I hope we go out and belt the blues, and enjoy a rare evening out at the footy.
  13. Just a suggestion mate. I'm surprised the above comment raised an eye-brow.
  14. I want Connolly hired just to see this forum go into melt-down
  15. Agree with that. A fit and firing Pickett brings fear to the opposition. We don't have a player like him, and I'm a little disapointed he's gone. I would've thought Pickett (with about 5 kids to feed) would've showed the required determination and fitness over the summer to gain another few hundred K and ensure some further security for his family.
  16. I have a brilliant idea. Lets trade Robbo for a fourth round draft pick. Screw the veterans. Lets go for speculative kids who have played 3 games in the TAC Cup. PFFT...
  17. I'm more in the "Lets win" camp. Carlton have so much to gain by losing than us. So what if we get pick 4 instead of 2. Player 4 will likely be as good as Player 2. And if we lose we get a bonus Pick 18. Thats fine but CAC has not drafted one star yet. I'd like to see that bonus pick used as trade bait.
  18. I reckon Brown deserves another year over a whole heap of others. He's been very useful over the second half of the year. Perhaps a certain red-head defender should be joining the farewell.
  19. If Richmond win, I'll be hoping for a loss - KRUEZER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If Richmond lose, then I'll be meh about our game.
  20. Highway robbery by the Saints
  21. Caught them on a bad day.
  22. Hopefully they'll be right for the week after
  23. Fair call. I was in a grumpy mood, after another crap display. I'd still get a new midfield coach.
  24. Nar just putting 2 and 2 togethor. Our ability to get a clearance this year has been woeful. Our midfield pressure is non existent. Who should take the blame for that?
  25. I think most people who have replied here are being hopeful rather than confident that Frawley will be an excellent player for the Dees. I like his ball use out of defence and his ability to occasionally run and carry, however I'm a bit concerned about many of his one-on-one contests that he's conceded. I personally wished Cameron went for someone else, but thats just my opinion. (I'm way more excited about Petterd)
