  1. If thats the case, Brock should stay the hell away from Carroll the next time they go out boozing.
  2. Good, if nobody rates us. We always make the finals when this happens. It's when the TAB expects us to finish top 6, is when we stuff up.
  3. Sorry but that post deserves recognition Good work!
  4. Or how about don't get involved in a blue, period! I'm 25, and been out nearly every weekend since turning 18, and never been appoached for a blue. Why did it happen to these two blokes twice? Surely Brock and Carroll must aggrevated the situation?
  5. Sorry but I'm too suspicious about the same two blokes being in two different punch-ons. He can say all he wants but he obviously can't resist a dust-up when out. Learn to walk away from the situation and shut your mouth, or don't go out. *Cue for all the apologists to say their only young blokes like you and me, leave them alone*
  6. Isn't two years the limit to be on a rookie list? Therefore its Senior list or bust for Hughes. He showed a bit in the opening NAB Cup game V Hawks this year. The commentators on Foxtel were confident he was going to play senior footy in 07 based on his form that night. I'd elevate him!
  7. Against who? Did we win? How many touches did he get? Thought I'd ask the local historian
  8. At the Best & Fairest, Bailey couldn't stop raving on about Josh Mahoney as a person. A very left-field selection, but one that will hopefully be frutiful for the club. Would've liked Bailey to be a bit more decisive on Miller's favoured position, even this early.
  9. HUN reckons the final draft of the draw will be revealed on Oct 26.
  10. Thanks for sharing that E-mail. They probably would not have received too many other supportive letters. Good stuff!
  11. Sorry mate, I missed you in the debate!
  12. Well just the MFC's typical luck if he was a bad egg, and we had to get rid of him
  13. So Maurie, Old, Rhino, Nasher and BB59, are you guys all content with the trade? When I clear my head, I can actually see the merit in the trade. However I believe we should've got more out of it.
  14. Changing the subject a little, As of today who is our number 1 ranked player?
  15. It seems like we're all content with a crap couple of years then, if we're offloading our best player for an 18 year old punt. I honestly thought 2008, we'd fight back hard with a much healthier year and get a full year out of TJ, Green and Bruce (our rolls royce department). Oh well, youth policy it is then. Will let the Lions enjoy the spoils (and pay them half his contract). Aren't we generous patient chappies at the Dees! Bell's due to have his first solid season in 6 years, while Mr Pick 14 is due for his first solid season in 2012. PS - Why couldn't the Dees be hard-arses at the table and demand Sherman and pick 14, or even Sherman and second round draft pick. I know they wanted to get rid of TJ, but they could've gotten more out of it.
  16. Cheers, against who? Who do we play in rounds 2,3,4 and 5? Who have we got in round 22? Do we play Geelong at Skilled? How many Friday Night games? Which intersate trip do we avoid? Please be WCE? Who and where do we play in rounds 20-22? What away games do we have at the Dome? Do we play more Saturday or Sunday games in Melbourne? Who do we play twice? Who do we play once?
  17. I thought he was OK against Collingwood in round 20. Yes he was poor against Freo, but most of the boys had no interest in performing that day, aside from Green and Robbo. He also polled a vote against West Coast at Subiaco, where there was some pressure on Melbourne midfield. TJ was the player most capable of polling votes as was reflected in recent years. He polled the most votes for MFC in 2006, and would've polled more than Junior had he not missed 6/7 games in 2007. Oh well, most of you are validating the TJ trade by citing the Woewodin/Bell trade. I look foward to the next cycle in 2010 when we trade a Sylvia or a McLean or a Jones for a treasured pick 13 or 14 or 15.
  18. Did you see us between rounds 15-18 this year. Our midfield was a rabble. TJ returns in round 19 (V Dogs at the Dome) for instant results as he contolled the midfield. He will be sorely missed. As Mark Robinson summed up in the Saturday Herald Sun "The Dees got pick 14 for TJ, but TJ is worth more than pick 14. The Lions were the big winners in that trade". When we will ever be big winners in trade week?
  19. Yeah, the MFC were too busy offloading class acts to other clubs for jackshit compensation to worry about delisting duds!
  20. Could you provide any more information about the fixture? Six interstate games is just like any other year.
  21. Thats the polite way of saying wasn't good enough at AFL level. Mark Jamar must be breathing a little easier tonight. I'll spew if he goes to Hawthorn...... **Thinks of the failed Sewell/Ferg trade of 2006**
  22. A fit Bode would add so much value to the club. But you would imagine the Crows see no possible future for him - injury wise.
  23. So, the fact that we're not in a premiership window means that winning game of footy are irrelevent. I don't know about you, but I prefer to win games of footy and an 80% fit Whitnall will assist us. Isn't that why AFL footy clubs exist for (unless your Carlton circa 2007)
  24. If we have another year destroyed by injuries we will win the wooden spoon, no doubt with 3 or 4 wins. The TJ trade will hurt, I can't believe people were happy with that...but thats been done to death. If we have a good run with injury, then I'd say 9-12th. We'll need to be patient with the new coach...remember Ross Lyon couldn't get the highly credentialed Saints into the finals.
  25. Was our best player in the first 4 weeks this year. Yet another MFC players who missed countless games in 2007. Imagine if we have a good run with injury next year
