  1. I would rather we chase a class midfielder like S Burgoyne or a Jarrod Roughead for pick 2 if we're going down that path.
  2. I'd delist Cheney ahead of McNamara. Cheney has terrible disposal, it has not improved at all this year.
  3. Miller and our 3rd round pick to Sydney for their second rd pick sound fair?
  4. Speaking of Garland, anyone know the latest? Will he be available for the start of pre-season?
  5. I have absolutley no issue if this is Bartram's final game and he then gets delisted. Hopefully we can trade Miller to Sydney. Miller and 3rd round pick for their 2nd round pick sound fair?
  6. Pick 18, Jared Rivers and Neville Jetta for Deledio and 3rd rd draft pick
  7. Yeah that concerned me too. It was shades of the 2006 final V's St Kilda when he lost the plot a couple of times. I thought he had grown out of that... You don't see many if any captains lose the plot, get sucked in and dragged by the coach. I'm sure the club will take this into account. That being said, what a credit to him if he did get the role.
  8. I'm not getting excited. I'll doubt we'll trade. We can't attract players to the club at the moment.
  9. Probably drowning his sorrows after another poor outing I guess.
  10. I can't believe Richmond traded pick 18 for McMuffin
  11. OK, I don't fully understand the mechanics of trade week. But if we really wanted Prismall (which I believe he would've been a fantastic recruit) wouldn't Geelong accept our trade of pick 19 if Essendon couldn't beat that offer - regardless of Prismall's preference of Essendon. I reckon Geelong got ripped off with only a 3rd round draft pick. We were probably going to trade pick 19 for Warnock, so why not trade that pick for Prismall who will be just as good if not better than Warnock?
  12. I agree that losing is the preferred option - and we will lose. However, now that we have pick 1 sewn I won't be barracking to lose as much as I did in the Rich and Nth games.
  13. From watching the U18's carnival on youtube, Trengrove appears to be able to hit a target better than Scully, but you can't buy Scully's pace and wonderful work in distributing the ball in heavy traffic. Plus it looks like he can take a mark for his size. Not 100% convinced we'll take Trengrove at pick 2. Many alternatives.
  14. For all you Newton haters, blame the insane list manager that gave him a 2 year contract at the end of an unproductive 2008. If anyone deserves the sack it's the.......
  15. The Dees will not make 1 trade this year. Rightly or wrongly, Bailey wants to develop his own. If he wanted mature aged recruits we would've traded pick 19 for Prismall last year, rather than rely on a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation. And anyway I can't see us being able to trade away list cloggers in Bell, Newton and PJ, even for pick 123!!
  16. Im not a Bailey lover by any stretch, but he gets a big tick from me for ensuring we get picks 1 and 2.
  17. Considering we're 120 minutes of footy away from getting Scully, I can't think of much that went wrong today
  18. 6) Sylvia - 34 disposals, great effort 5) Jetta - Best match so far - may turn out better than Bennell 4 Robertson (You're welcome back in my book!!) 3) Jamar - 5 goals, wow! 2) Davey - Is deducted votes due to a quiet start. 1) McDonald - Never stops trying.
  19. Based purely on stats, it sounds like Sylvia, Jurrah and Bate are our best. I'd love us to come out and kick the first 3 goals of the 2nd half to give them a little scare, and then lose by 2 or 3 goals. Probably won't happen considering we're down to 20 men. And what's with McLean having only 5 touches for a half?. Can he not play well against quality? Is he being heavily tagged? Been on bench?
  20. 41,412. All Carltank fans will go to this one.
  21. I like that suggestion. We'd then have picks 1, 2 and approx pick 8 which may allow us to get Butcher if he's still available as a low top 10 pick. We trade Jamar for something useful - otherwise we risk losing him in the PSD for nothing. We're able to get Bell (who I consider a list clogger) off the books. We get a little sweetner in the form of a 4th round draft pick, which we could then on-trade in a last minute deal. I'd also make enquires into Brett Ebert and Justin Westhoff. Ebert seems to be on the outer after a great 2007. I'm not surprised Port rate Jamar. He beat Port's Lade/Brogan duo in round 15.
  22. And Robbo won't be caring about a priority draft pick!! I won't breathe easy until 11:45pm on Saturday Aug 29th
  23. You've finally turned to the dark side mate! I've noticed you were one of the anti tankers between rounds 15-18 and you would've sold your left leg for a win.
  24. Can understand dropping Miller and Bartram, but dropping Dunn (who's been playing really well, and needs to perform to save his career) is very harsh IMO. I would've dropped Cheney, Jetta or Martin puerly based on last weeks form. Then again, we're trying to lose, right?
  25. Expected to play VFL for next 2 weeks. May debut in the finals though.
