Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 18
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm talking a set back for the ages. i.e - 110 point loss playing 0 quarters. At least against Freo and Geelong we scrambled togethor between 1 and 2 quarters of ok footy. -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 18
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone think we're due for a set back this week? -
I don't consider the Saturday afternoon timeslot "prime time" - particularly the 2:10 games on Fox Sports 3. Friday night, Saturday night or Public holidays are what I consider "prime time".

Would be rude of me to call this a poor win by Casey?

Make a bold prediction for the remainder of the season..
Bring-Back-Powell replied to P-man's topic in Melbourne Demons
We trade Viney and pick 2 for Tom Scully and Josh Hunt. -
In - Blease, JKH Out - Tapscott, Terlich I'm glad we have the bye between the Port and Brisbane games as we desperatley need to freshen up and re-assess before the slightly winnable Brisbane game.
-
Agree, that's the one win I'm desperate to see. This Etihad hoodo is a joke. We can beat Adelaide at the Adelaide oval but we can't beat stkilda or bulldogs at etihad...

Nothing exites me about playing in Darwin/NT. Apart from that exciting 1 win point over Port in 2010, every other game I'm Darwin has been as boring as bat crap. And we've never lost by less than 50 points in the week after playing in Darwin - that fact alone should warrant immediate withdrawal from the arrangement. But I understand it's all about money. As a compromise I wouldn't be upset with 1 annual game in Alice Springs from 17 onwards.

Our forward line was a disgrace today. How many intercept marks did they take? How many possession did Geelong defenders with no pressure?

I think his best position is alternating between half back, wing and half forward.

GOODBYE MR. CHIP FRAWLEY
Bring-Back-Powell replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Frawley picks up a mystery injury in round 22 or 23, I think we all know what he'll be doing next year. -
Sauce?

Tom Boyd- Unhappy at GWS?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Grandson of a gun's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'd actually be happy having TS back at the club. Ofcourse I'd only pay him about $70,000 a year. -
Players to target at the end of the year
Bring-Back-Powell replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would offer Levi Greenwood a serious contract, and one he couldn't say no to. He's out of contract, he's a ball magnet goalkicking midfielder and has had a seriously good year. I'd offer Greenwood a $3 million 5 year contract. I think he's about 24 so about to hit his prime. -
Given Frawley's gone, we may as well hand our licence back to the AFL if McDonald leaves the club.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 16
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I agree with this. Vince has been an outstanding recruit for us. He's been particularly good since about round 7. If given the choice of Sylvia or Vince I'd actually choose Vince. -
My prediction out of that lot: Blease - traded Tapscott - re-signed for 2 years Strauss - delisted Byrnes - retired Nicholson - delisted Terlich- re-rookied

Wasn't there also a game in 1997 under lights at the G when we were robbed against the Dogs? -
And don't forget the amazing 8 goals he kicked in the prelim final v's North Melbourne in 2000. Who else has bagged 8 in a prelim in recent memory?

Michael Evans: Michael played midfield and had 13 possessions. He looked really flustered and distracted at times during the game. He was often by himself at stoppages, which is certainly not the way we want to play football. So he needs to really adjust that part of his game, if he wants to press for senior selection. Was it just me or did anyone else laugh at this particular review? I'm going to go against the general vibe here and say that I really enjoy Allison's reviews and they are by far the best content on the MFC website. For too long the reviews were far too sugar coated for my liking. These players are grown ups and big boys. They can handle it. If they can't handle a bit of public scrutiny they wouldn't have been drafted in the first place.

Hope he goes to Geelong and they miss the finals next year. -

Moloney I'll give you but Rivers is a staple in Geelong's defence and Sylvia has timed his run beautifully by getting games close to finals.
