  1. And in those games our average losing margin to the Eagles has been 87.25 points.
  2. Geez West Coast have beaten us up over the last 3 years. Something like 106, 90, 93 and 60 have been the margins. If we can get within 4 goals this week, it will be a fantastic effort and would further emphasise our improvement.
  3. I wouldn't put Hogan on the plane this week. We have 5 winnable or semi winnable games in a row at the G after Darwin. We need him fresh for those games.
  4. May as well rest Hogan for the certain west coast loss in Darwin. That way he'll be fresh for the Essendon and Brisbane games coming up.
  5. Would we not wear the red one against Carlton in rd 21?
  6. Howe's ruck stats last week v's St Kilda: 1 Hit out attempt 1 Hit out 1 Hit out advantage. Batting at 1.000
  7. This year's clash jumper is by far and away the best we've ever had. We've come a long way since the silver top taxi version of 2008.
  8. The only positive news is Garland is only 1 week
  9. I'm worried about the Dunn on Bruce matchup. I'd hate for the game to be decided purely on Bruce kicking 6+ because we've got nobody to play on him. Dunn should be playing on the oppo's 3rd or 4th fwd not No 1 or 2. This is where the loss of Frawley will occasionally rear its head (although still rather Brayshaw than Frawley)
  10. No issue with Goodwin running selection considering he's getting the keys to the joint next October.
  11. I think it would be a great win for the club and a massive step in the right direction if we can knock off St Kilda.I get the feeling some on here are underestimating the rapid improvement of St Kilda compared to the 2014 rabble version. I hope our players rate them higher.
  12. Fair points, and If you break it down stats wise, then yes you could argue we've been better than St Kilda. But I just feel that they seem to be tracking better than us, have less injuries, have been better than us against the good sides (ie. Hawthorn, West Coast, Adelaide), less form fluctuations than us and haven't hit the horrible lows that we have. I think they will be a bit too good for us on Sunday.
  13. Agree he might need a rest, but why not wait another week when we play Geelong in Geelong?
  14. A mobile phone made from Apple that never really took off in the telecommunications market.
  15. And so they should be. St Kilda have had a bette season than Melbourne. Then there's the little stat that the last time we won at Docklands the iPhone hadn't even been invented yet.
  16. How good a mark is this guy. Always takes that crucial mark in defensive 50. Would have to go close to winning out best and fairest which isn't ideal.
  17. Wouldn't Fitz play on Jesse White all day?
  18. Aussie's been a good paddock since he called it quits.
  19. One of the rare mfc blokes that's putting in every week. Been a far better pick up than Harry LaBamba.
  20. How the hell does Howe get a game after his 6 possession 1 mark performance last week. A dog ordinary player is Howe.
  21. We're getting less than what we thought we'd get from HL. We're getting more that what we thought we'd get from Garlett.
  22. Apparently his name is Darren Hockey. Is reported to have got married at a pizza hut on the morning of a game and then attended an MFC game that afternoon. He was quoted in the below age article, re: Jimmy's funeral. http://www.theage.com.au/afl/afl-news/all-a-bad-dream-widow-farewells-jim-stynes-at-emotional-melbourne-funeral-20120326-1vvf1.html Darren 'Hocko' Hocking, a Melbourne Football Club cheer squad member for 35 years, stood with his 12-year-old son Stewart waving goodbye to Stynes with two giant handmade Melbourne flags. "He was the spirit of football itself," Mr Hocking said. Mr Hocking, who had gone to Federation Square with his son, wife Elizabeth and nine-year-old daughter Brooke, said he had seen Stynes' first game of football with Melbourne. "He's made mistakes, corrected them then took us out of debt so we can carry on and that's what we're going to do," he said. "He is a great loss but he's given us a new vitalisation so that hopefully in a few years we can finally win a grand final."
  23. Someone actually purchased that jacket?
  24. Wasn't that guy named Hocko? I think he was in the cheersquad until the late 90's or early 2000s. Then he appeared to have his own smaller unoffical cheersquad in the olympic stand pocket. I haven't seem him at the footy for years.
  25. I assume Terlich being on contract until the end of 2016 is a typo or a joke, right?
