  1. True story - my 70 year old aunty who is dye hard geelong and goes every week, has done for decades said exactly the same same thing after the game. Completely out coached. If the media can't see it and my aunty can she should be on tv. Probably tougher than Chris Scott too.

I'd love to see the adelaide boards saying we dodged a bullet to we missed out on Carey
  3. There needs to be a societal shift and no violence towards women should ever be accepted. My thoughts on education may vary from other posters. Generations of kids being educated about toxic masculinity may have cost female lives at Bondi. I might be old school but i would have liked to see more men try and take down a lone perpertrator with a knife singling out women. There were thousands of men in that shopping centre and shops full of artillerary. More should have been done to protect them from men on the scene. I also think the legislation needs to change around violence orders. They should be designed around protecting the vulnerable not the vengeful. This is a bigger issue than most people realise and muddies the waters for magistrates placing protection orders and police enforcing them.
  4. After hearing May's interview after the game where he was talking about adding more strings to our bow i am convinced we are working towards the Bang Bang Bang game plan. Losing straight sets the last 2 years where we went into the finals battered and predictable (but reliable) we are currently playing a game plan where we switch and come in from different angles and move the ball quickly from defence. We are starting to go alright at it but our best players aren't elite kicks. Our team is built for the game plan of contested footy locking it into our forward half and great defence which probably would have worked last year if Melk, Petty or even Disco played. This year we have McAdam to add. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if we keep playing our new brand for most of the year and switch back to the Bang Bang Bang style as the finals aproach which suits our elite players but we have a plan b if we hit trouble and need to be a bit more dynamic
  5. Kozzie - 0 loss season Windsor - Jason Taylor special Petty - Wont back down Fritsch - Shane Warne stand

North should be investgated for winning in the last round
  7. Ouch i never realised Disco was knocking on the door last finals as a forward replacement for our depleted stocks. That hurts after watching last night.
  8. Let's hope our random fixturing with completely out of whack days between games meant pre arranged training loads meant we neglected skills and touch this block and hence we were butchering it so badly last night
  9. 6 Max 5 Laurie -TOG 4 Disco 3 May 2 Lever 1 Rivers
  10. Did Marlion hit him in the guts or the hand?

Demonlanders, my old man has (had) a demon gnome that he puts out the front of his apartment on Powlett St a few hundred metres from the G. When we lose it faces the naughty corner when we win its on proud display. When Maxy kicked the goal after the siren in 2021 to win the minor premiership it was purched on top of a ladder. It has been stolen twice in 5 years both Collingwood games. Last night one of those people in black and white jail uniforms jumped his fence and stole it. The old man wants a new gnome before Anzac Eve. Any ideas how to fast track one? It needs to be 30+cm and not one of those plastic ones. The new gnome will be wearing a Brayshaw style helmet the week we play Collingwood we might need security.

Don't forget we were the only club to visit the Kolt's family on their farm to meet them before the draft. Imagine the talk over the dinner table that night

The fact that Viney in his recent interview with Maxy before his 200th and Brayshaw in his retirement talk both mentioned Nathan Jones mentoring them makes me realise what an impact Jones has had on the club. Viney role modelling and mentoring, Brayshaw with his new role at the club. * Kolt don't get suspended but when we play the pies let your mum know our feelings for Maynard she will sort it
  16. I don't think asking the question if it's sustainable to keep playing our best players when they have medical issues is thinking linearly
  17. He shouldn't have played then. We probably wouldn't have beat Port if he didn't dominate the last 1/4. Gawn went in to round 0 crook, Oliver playing with 1 hand and May is playing with cracked ribs. We look good but is it sustainable? Our best players are playing when they shouldn't.
  18. It's funny i have cracked my ribs and broken a finger that required surgery playing footy. I can assure everyone the cracked ribs inhibit you alot more. Unless Oliver has done more damage i doubt he would miss. He is obviously struggling with the hand but why rest him now after playing a couple of games? I'm amazed May is playing that is alot worse
  19. He is loved by the old Sheedy crew. There are ex-bombers who are life members that support him to the hilt. I thought Port were good against us and had really smart structures against us. The Port fans were filthy but they did alot right. Connor Rozee might be the best player in the league but he couldn't dominate against viney, petracca and clarry
  20. I got pretty good detailed mail on BrisVegas well before in media. Respect Demonland policies obviously. We should win by 10 goals.

If anything Clarry has come back going after more body contact this year. Watch the Bulldogs game where he sprints 100m of gut busting running collects the ball, smashes the bloke who gets in his way and passes to ANB who dribbles in through. Anybody who goes after Clarry for click bait or publicity i write off. Dermie was tough but he is a moron.
  22. The AFL should "homenigize" the data like the BOM does with the historical weather. We could get a tallest and shortest player on record every month
  23. Wrecker46 replied to Twodogs's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
The AFL/VFL used to have a rule and suspension for it - undually rough play. I don't think either of Chol's would fall into that category but it would stop others getting off on technicalities
  24. Wrecker46 replied to Twodogs's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
There was no malice from Chol in either of them. The May one happened right in front of me and i watched the Geelong game. May was flying back courageously at an angle at a furious pace. Happened in an actual footballing act not like that [censored] from Collingwood
  25. I would be nervous if I was Billings
