  1. The difference between Bevo and Goodwin is the players love Goodwin. I'm not saying that's good or bad. History is littered with cosches the players didn't like who were successful
  2. We've been [censored] ever since the gnome went missing.
  3. Billings is the whipping boy in this thread. I am not sold on him and he was bought in for his skills and forward transition but be gave everything Saturday night. His tackles and pressure were immense. There are others that should go before him.
  4. Our worst quaters. Coincidence? Give him the football.
  5. His centre bounce numbers to posession ratio says otherwise. I hope he gets it togethef again
  6. Not a single vote amongst Demonanders for Windsor. He almost single handidly orchestrated our first and only quater of dominance.
  7. Sparrow is a mystery. Oliver and Viney we understand. Petracca didn't come on like we thought he would at the same stage as Sparrow in his career until some off field stuff clicked. Who knows.
  8. There is a misconception that Oliver's lack of preseason is the problem (despite being our best tonight without having Trac to take some of the load) It has hindered him and he hasn't gone about it like the greatest MFC player of the modern era normally does but it's the hand. We focused on the premiership window and Oliver was a key piece of that. He was playing when he shouldn't have. I've personally had surgery on my hand after a footballing injury and it cripples you. Oliver has had surgery on both shoulders and we got that right, they don't pop out anymore. Let's hope we haven't bungled his hand becase that would be a travesty.

  10. Whilst i don't agree with this thread and i think our list is quicker overall than it has been in a long time i want to talk about Kolt who i like for alot of reasons especially his energy. I keep seeing posters talk about his fast times in speed charts. I don't rate them. As a long time punter on the horses, i can assure you the horses with the fastest sectionals of the day rarely win and then you think they will win next time because they galloped faster than the rest of the field or card but they don't. Speed is relative. Alot depends on the exertion of energy beforehand compared to the person you are racing against. Kozzie last night showed true pace when he relentlessly made ground on whoever had the footy. I haven't seen the speed charts but it doesn't matter, in the moment, he was much quicker than anyone around him. That is what is important.
  11. Billings - tough not creative (unexpected) Laurie - could make it Windsor - could be anything Petty - marks and tackles Gawn - fumbly for month Kozzie - tackled to influence Rivers - learn to bounce Kolt - signed while concussed Jeffo - gimme a tiket... AMW - hard as nails Bowey - victim of structure
  12. The excuse for me is the old man's Melbourne gnome, he put's out when we win, got stolen and our season has gone to [censored] since. But i went regardless tonight.
  13. From the last hit he copped? If so i'll be even more [censored] off. He should have got a holding the ball go his way 10 seconds before he copped it
  14. Caleb Windsor is going to a legitimate superstar. I don't think he get's a score involvement for when he flattens the GWS bloke that set up Chandlers goal of the week contender. I watched him closely tonight and thought his first quater was the reason we got off to a flyer his pressure, bumps, smarts and pace were something to behold. There were lots of times tonight where we could have given it off to him with a 15m diagnal kick but ignored him. I'm not comparing him to Naicos (would be unfair because Windsor is actually hard at it) but we need to start looking for him all the time like Collingwood do Naicos.
  15. GWS seemed to be allowed to run sideways on the mark which has been a 50m penalty all year. We didn't do it tonight so i can't say they were inconsistent tonight but i've lost count of the times we've been penalised for it throughout the year
  16. We had the momentum and needed to win no point going defensive. If Gawn tapped it to advantage they'd be asking why Green gave Oliver space
  17. Good we can't play last quaters anyway
  18. Because #22 isn't umpiring
  19. May and Lever?
  20. Jack Riewoldt would be better
  21. It looks pretty plain on paper but 2 premiership players in a weak draft is extraordinary. Particularly for a team that has 1 premiership in 50 years
  22. His hair looks even better in the rain
  23. So many positives tonight. My only negative is i kind of wish Kolt's nickname was Disco
  24. 6 ) Rivers, Mc Vee & Positive Lingers 3 ) Melksham 2 ) Windsor 1) Disco No Gawn or Petracca and i get the feeling Clarry is just warming up to remind everyone in the finals he is one of the players in the league.
