  1. Personally I think Brown and TMac are largely cooked and if we're building our 2023 forward line around them we may just be as well. I'd suggest the club can't let Weideman go because we need 2 solid targets in the forward line and it's possible he'll be one of them. Maybe JVR will be the other but lets reserve judgement until we know he's actually up to being an AFL grade key forward! If the club aren't chasing a key forward such as Georgiades I'd be very surprised. Both Brown and TMac are running on borrowed time but who knows they may kick 100 goals between them in 2023
  2. Does anyone else find it odd that the AFL is in charge of investigating the AFL?
  3. I just don’t think you want Grundy to win a flag and you know that’s what’s going to happen with him in the 22
  4. White assumptions and good intentions? have I just been transported to 1950?
  5. Max was beat up this year and it showed. Cox drove his knee into his back a dozen times on QB and I don't think Max ever got back to full fitness. He's 31 and with Grundy playing we'll have a chance to float one forward and one behind the ball. With our midfield we'll own clearances and stoppages. We need to sort out some dash and a rejig the forward line a little. Our game plan might bore you but it works really well. Can't see how we don't compete right at the pointy end next year. We actually have most of the pieces already at the club, just some tinkering required.
  6. You say we got found out but did we? Everyone bemoans our style yet it won a Premiership. We were some poor shots on goal from beating the Pies who scraped over the line with the help of the umpires. The Swans beat us by under 4 goals and we were clearly hampered by Petracca and Gawn both being sore on the night. No one steam rolled us and we weren't at our best. A tweak here and there, a good rest before preseason and we'll be back on top where we belong.
  7. Has he reinjured the same foot/previous injury?
  8. There's no doubt Goodwin and co will be talking to the players about humility, respect and buy in over summer. We were off by about 5% in a more than one area this year and it cost us a flag. I still think we are the best team in the comp but that gets you a top 4 finish, the 5% then gets you the Flag. It's a lot to do with culture so I agree with the opening post. I'm pretty confident in the club atm to be able to tweak things and get us back to the top because we're way too good to not be winning finals. Plus we need to win one at the G, we don't want to admit that to our non Demon friends but we know it to be true!
  9. Is JVR actually any good or is he just demonlands wet dream? As for Chandler, just no. Bowey I’d fit in but not sure who comes out
  10. That’s not a cloud over Petracca, that’s a thunderstorm
  11. Because no one knows he’s got a fracture, just a bad corky. He’s a match winner and it’s a final, of course he stays on. Petracca can turn a game with 5 possessions. Smith, he’s not winning the game for us.
  12. If we can’t beat the Swans without Hibberd we aren’t winning the Premiership.
  13. I wonder if Hibberd takes Heeney when he's forward and Hunt is given Papley?
  14. 9.00am Tuesday, All the info is there, just scroll down the information page
  15. I'm wrong....... first time ever......knew I should have checked
  16. No......at least I didn't think you were
  17. The media simply don't know what he's doing. Some reliable posters here have said he's going for personal reasons. We've been looking at Grundy. I'm still confident he stays. That's likely part my optimistic nature and part "why the [censored] would you leave atm". He's going to be a generational talent, yes we'll get good compo for him to soften the blow. Yes he's not going to a big Vic club so we can largely ignore his progression into superstar. Yes we'll enjoy the new drat picks we get. However to me, he's a Melbourne player and I love watching him play and his general demeanour. He seems like a ripping young bloke. If he does leave I'll wish him well and boo him in total jest when we play Freo. I will say the club has done us all proud with the way it has handled the whole thing, likewise with Yze. We've become a Professional Club and we're about to go back to back and Jackson will play a key role in that.
  18. I don’t think it’s a certainty that he’s leaving. The media have no idea just ask Essendon
  19. He is good, good doesn’t cut it. He’s a great assistant.
